Driver's injuries, and Wallace being basically a stick on for the Scotland LB spot for years to come. I'd imagine Vlad would want a fortune for him. Victorian Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 length of contract remaining dictates that we wouldn't get above ?3M for him. he's very much worth ?5M under the right circumstances (newly signed up to a 5 year contract). i would be surprised if he was sold without any attempt made to extend his contract. at the end of the day he might decide he just wants to make the next step, meaning that we might have to sell and get something. ultimately getting nothing for wallace would be an utter fiasco. Hutton went to England for ?9 million. Many English clubs haven't started feeling the pinch yet. ?4-5 million is not beyond the realms of possibility. Unless we get a substantial bid we can bide our time and wait till he has played a few more internationals. Once he has settled into the Scotland team he will be performing on a world stage which will have teams down south sitting up and taking notice, more than any of his performances in the SPL. Also hopefully we can have a decent wee run in Europe which will further adds to Lee credentials and thus rise his price tag.
