John I think by striker most people mean a player similar to a "centre forward" in the old parlance. whereas a forward could be a player in any number of attacking positions. Mate of mine is a Liverpool fan and I told him they'd got a brilliant player at the start of the season! Could you imagine Ronaldo and Torres on the same team? Scary. If I was Hearts' manager, I'd use that as an experiment (as I've never seen it used) ....................Banks ..............Karipidis Berra ....Neilson Jonsson Palazuelos Mikoliunas.......................Wallace ........Kingston.........Driver ....................Nade We would still struggle to score goals with the players in that team.Wouldn't football be great to watch if Fifa made that formation law though. Doesn't make you change your team though does it? Anyway, Ronaldo, WOW. Through the eighties uptil 89/90 Liverpool won the league 6 times and were runners up a few times, yet you claim NOT to be a glory hunter? How does that work? Alan Shearer has the record for the amount for goals in one English Permier League season - 31. So it is pretty straight forward. Ronaldo scores in each of the last 8 games he will hold the record. For a winger as well. He is different class. BUT I very rarely see him step up to the plate in massive matches.
