rossthejambo
I seem to remember signing him quite a lot on an old Football Manager. All I know is he's a left back so would make sense to look at him, free transfer, experienced in the Championship. Could do a lot worse.
PapaShango
Think he used to play for Plymouth as well and has some caps for Northern Ireland. Seem to remember him playing against England.

I'm just glad (if we are interested in him) that we are looking to bring someone in to make up for Wallace being out instead of putting a central midfield player back there. Glamorgan Jambo
He's a useful enough full back from the times I saw him playing for the bluebirds. Could be ideal for him and us. The Old Tolbooth
To be fair, if the left backs JJ's having a look at were any good, then there's a strong chance they wouldn't be free agents
Charlie-Brown
Hopefully the next Neil Pointon :-) Apart from the very beginning and end of his career Neil Pointon played the best part of his career with clubs in the top flight of England and Scotland, with all due respect Capaldi has only played Championship & League One level in England and now despite some loans and trials finds himself without a club. If we do sign him then he might do as a stopgap measure until Lee Wallace returns but I don't really expect him to be another Neil Pointon. Howdy Doody Jambo
We are talking the SPL here , we don't need Maldini We can only sign players out of contract untill January so TC may get the gig untill then at least Beggars can't be choosers and the lad will be wanting to play by now so it could be win - win for both parties

vegas-voss
I'm just glad JJ is looking to bring in a replacement. As going with Ruben,Eggert or Obua would have been ok for the odd game but not 6 months.Get an experienced player in and then hopefully start to blood a young lad later on in the games when we can.Have we got any good prospects at left back ? maroonshrew
Its nonsense that a free agent must be poor in standard. As it happens i dont think much of Capaldi but we shouldnt rule him out. We need an experienced left back on short term cover. He is an experience dleft back looking for any sort of contract. It makes sense. Stephane Mahe came and did a job for us when released and over 30. A player of that ilk would do a job.

I didn't say he was rubbish though did I, I stated that if players were any good then they wouldn't be free agents in the first place, there would be a demand for them, although I appreciate that with some players certain circumstances can lead to them becoming a free agent but more often than not it's because no one wants them as they're not good enough, or the player is asking for too much in terms of wage demands, but thanks for tarring me with the stereotypical JKB poster brush

The Brow
He played about 10 games for Cardiff last year and I watched a few pof them. He's one of the few men in football whose nose is bigger than his throw ins. He's poo. I wouldnt go looking for him to answer our left back problems, despite him playing at a higher level. Maybe alright on a free, but id hope he's playing for next to nowt!
