Suso 5 Quiet first half , bit better second half. Templeton 6 Great goal, and good link up with Wallace, quiet for spells though. Elliot 8 2 well taken goals and good run for penalty. Kyle 6 Good 20mins from him McGowan 4 Solid Mroweic 4 Solid Whilst playing nowhere near great, an excellent 4-0 victory and 3points. ps Don't think Hamilton had much of a shout for a pen, yes there will be contact in the box, but i don't think Wallace had much forward momentum in his alleged 'push'. Suso 5 Put in a shift, but should have scored Templeton 7 Superb goal - Typical of the old fashioned winger - absent for long periods, but always likely to turn on that bit of magic. Elliot 8 2 really good goals and ran his heart out. Good defensive work as well early on. Bouzid - 7 - done well, solid enough Wallace - 8 - looked to get forward as often as possible and still did the defensive stuff well Zaliukas - 7 - strolled it Barr - 6 - did well Palazuelos - 4 - was okay up until that stupid 2nd yellow, he can have no complaints Suso - 6 - didnt really do much that I recall, worked hard Black - 6 - linked up well for Elliot's first goal and broke up play, much better than last week. Elliot - 9 - outstanding and long may it continue C Thomson - 6 - similar to suso in taht he didnt really do much but worked hard Templeton - 8 - looks a great wee player and will get better when his decision making is a bit better/quicker Edit - just to be clear these ratings are based on TV viewing... Kello - 7 - Caught a few corners and good save at 4-0 towards the end Barr - 7 - Much, much better at right back. Solid performance Wallace - 8 - Best left back in the SPL, we'll be doing well if he is still here by September 1st Bouzid - 7 - Gives us much needed physical presence at centre half, competes well for every ball in the air. Zaliukas - 7 - Played well, competed well. Craig Thomson - 6 - Good delivery as per, has lost a bit of pace as he has bulked up Ian Black - 7 - Decent performance, retained the ball well Ruben Paluzeulos - 5 - stupid sending off David Templeton - 7 - Great goal, still drifts out of games too easily though. Suso - 6 - Not much came off for him, but he never hides. Always offers an outlet. C Elliot - 9 - What more could he have done today? Full of running, linked play well and too great goals. Subs: Kevin Kyle - 6 - Scared Hamilton witless Adrian Mrowiec - 6 - Kept it simple, adds real physical presence to the midfield. Ryan McGowan - 4 - Not much time, but made some good runs forward. Didn't have too much to do, played it safe. Wallace - 7. Great going forward again. Zaliukas - 7. Shaky at times as well but solid in the 2nd half. Bouzid - 6. Seemed rusty in the first half, got better as the game went on. C. Thomson - 5. Put in a decent shift but didn't produce much. Silly booking. Palazuelos - 5. Was playing well with good hassling before a stupid tackle. Black - 7. A much calmer performance than last week. Suso - 5. Very quiet in the first half, looked more up for it in the 2nd half. Templeton - 7. Him and Wallace had Hamilton struggling in the first half. Great goal. Elliot - 9. Great performance. Two good goals, won a penalty and just did loads for the team. C.Thomson - 7 Needs to provide more of a threat going forward. Cracking deliveries, done defensive work well. I.Black - 7 Closed down their midfield well, had a hand in two goals. Better than last week. R.Palazuelos - 6 Very good first half, let himself down with silly sending off. D.Templeton - 8 Brilliant goal, was a menace. Really impressed with his defensive workrate too. S.Santana - 7 great shift. Will be dissapointed with glaring miss though. C.Elliot - 9 Two goals and won a pen. Unlucky not to get hatrick. MOTM. K.Kyle -6 Great 20 minutes. A.Mrowiec -5 Done the job he was asked to by shoring up midfeild. R.McGowan - 5 No time to shine but worked hard, good to see him getting on. Overall thought it was a good performance, particularly first half when we didnt let them create anything. First 20 minutes of second half I thought we let them back into things again. Very well taken goals, did well for penalty and worked his hole off for 90 mins Kyle 7 - Never in doubt after he came on! Liking the big fella! Mrowiec 6 - Tidy and efficient McGowan 5 - No time but looked composed and actually he and Adrian won more in midfield that Black and Pala did all game (Accies had given up by then, mind!) Overall, I didn't actually think we particularly played better than last week, but football's like that, I suppose! Still a good performance and great for the confidence. Imagine that team with Kyle starting and two midfielders in Eggy and Stevo replacing Black and the atrocious Pala. First half to me he was dominant in the middle of the park, Winning everything in the air and breaking up their attacks. Has the ability to make himself a yard and play the simple ball. One dimensional and when it don't work he is lost. Missed another golden opportunity today as well) Templeton - 7 Super goal, good link play with Wallace, think he should have stayed on the park. Elliot - 8 Excellent performance, I'm hoping it is as sign of what is to come rather than a flash in the pan. I think he, in fact all the other strikers we use, will benefit greatly from the presence of Kyle. Kyle - 6 - He adds a whole different dimension. He attracts defenders creating space for others, he wins the ball in the air, creating for others, and because he can win and direct headers he can change the direction of play quickly. Then today you add in that he wasted possession on 3 occasions I can remember rather than keeping it simple (something i wouldn't usually expect from him), kicked the ball away for a yellow (something we need to cut down on) and then a lunge for a nothing ball whilst on that yellow. Had a very silly game, basically. Shame, cos I like Ruben in a way - he's honest and he has a bit of ability there. He's just so frustrating cos he doesn't know how to use that ability effectively and I think 95% of the time he's a waste of a jerseu. has the occasional good game and it so happens that it'll be against Hibs or Rangers or something and it seems to buy him some browny points Anyways, this isn't a rant, I'm kind of happy enough with him as a squad player, just explaining my opinion on him, including my problem with him today. Glad to have him back in the side. Was solid but didn't have much of note to do. Zaliukas - 7. Plays well with Bouzid as a partner. Dealt with most things which came his way. C Thomson - 6. Decent shift, couple of good set pieces but didn't do much which stood out. Don't think I would start him next week. Templeton - 8. Thought he played very well, especially in the first half. Great strike for his goal. Black - 7. Thought it was one of his better games to be honest. Worked hard and did well for a couple of the goals. Palazuelos - 5. Taking a mark off for his red card but felt he wasn't having too bad a game before he was dismissed. Suso - 6. Worked hard as always but should have scored. Elliot - 9. Excellent. Was always looking for the ball and could have scored a couple more. Great technique to score the opener. Kyle - 6. Cracking penalty. Will be a very important player when he is fit. Mrowiec - 5. Didn't need to do much during his time on the park but broke up play well. McGowan - 4. Didn't have much time but did show some signs of ability. Hope he is here after tranfer window closes C.Thomson 6. Thought he had a decent game, was booked and had a dodgy tackle right in front of us just on HT Black 6 Better than last week Palazuelos Again better than last week but his first booking should cost him a hefty fine. No complaints getting booked for an attemted tackle Templeton 7 Gave him an extra point for his goal Suso 3 Nothing to offer Elliot 8 Excellent first goal, great credit for our 3rd and 4rth goals. Seems to be less assured than he was towards the end of last season, for some reason. Barr 8 - Thought he was outstanding. Very assured on the ball while he managed to keep their one half decent player (Dougie Imrie) quiet throughout the match. Won his fair share of headers as well. Bouzid 7 - Never put a foot wrong, solid as a rock. Great last ditch tackle to deny Thomas (I think) after Zal had allowed the Hamilton striker through. Zaliukas 6 - Generally played well but still had a few Zal moments. Wallace 7 - Didn't offer as much going forward as he normally does but did well when called upon and solid defensively. C Thomson 6 - Needs to make himself available more and show more confidence at right midfield. That being said, except from over hitting an early free-kick, his set-pieces were top notch again. Black 6 - Still doesn't get on the ball enough for a centre midfielder but his work rate today and willingness to constantly deny Hamilton time on the ball helped us on the road to victory. Palazuelos 6 - Would have been a 7 as he did the same as Black but also calmed us down at times when the players were trying to just knock it forward in search of a 3rd instead of keeping possession. Loses point for daft sending off. The second booking was harsh but he's given the ref an option. The less said about his first booking the better. Templeton 7 - Great strike but drifts out of games quite a lot on the wing. I'm still advocating that he should be given a chance in the centre. Elliot 8 - MotM - Struggled to hold the ball up at times which was the only flaw in his game. Two great strikes, fantastic movement and tireless running. Well done Calum. Suso 5 - Surprisingly quiet for him and missed a sitter at 2-0. subs Kyle 7 - Really looks the part and took a cracking pen. Mrowiec 6 - Looked very assured and did well to help keep possession and take the pressure off the defence when he came on. McGowan 6 - Decent cameo.
