Cheers for destroying my data allowance last night Smithee. Spent most of my shift in ranks looking  all over Northern Europe. Got a couple of funny looks when folk had to tap on the window wanting a ride, but I didn’t see them, because I was so engrossed in looking at fek’n pictures of windmills. They must have thought I was a right weirdo

The sideways thinking I mentioned was simply to find a list of windmills in Belgium, there's a couple that I found. RJ got there in the end though!

That redjambo had better take a break before people start getting pissed off with him. :)  Perhaps he could get on with the work he's been avoiding all afternoon...

Fiji is still grating, lol

Hey, I wasn't the one giving out the points. ;)

Nice place though, and Fiji Bitter is pretty lovely (mostly because of the setting in which you drink it).

Anyway, Easter Pitcorthie, Dunfermline?

It is not Easter Pitcorthie

a clue is the ground around it as Easter Pitcorthie is in a field

Ok, just Pitcorthie Standing Stone?

I got the Easter bit from this page - http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=7584 - but it may not be correct.

Easter Pitcorthie this is the Easter one

However a point to Redjambo as the website you referenced does call it the Pitcorthie stone

I found an old set of photo's in a cupboard of our office and took copies of a few before they went in the bin. Also included in the cupboard was a large quantity of old obscure staff newspapers which have plenty of photos I will get round to posting here.

Yup. I think that the one guy got the two stones confused in the description of his photo, and the person writing the page took it from there. Such is the way that false information propagates (and I almost helped it even further along).

Nice. If you ever find anything like that again, it might be an idea to pass them on to the photo department of the National Library of Scotland and/or the Central Library. I just hate the idea of photos like that getting chucked in the bin. :(

Look forward to those photos (if I'm about). Thanks for posting these three.
