Never knew there was a Haystack in the Firth of Forth, until now that is. Time to finally take a boat trip I suppose 😄

That way, you get dropped off on Inchcolm to spend time there and then get picked up by the later trip on the way back. That's what we'll be doing next time. That's TWICE we've done that trip and not set foot on Inchcolm. Ach, it was a richt guid trip in any case. Seeing the rail bridge from the water is worth it alone. We are totes spoiled with that which is on our doorstep.

Apparently the special epoxy paint they used means the bridge won't nee to be painted again for 25 years. It stated in 2001 and took 10 years to complete. Errr.... emm.... so a start on the next re-painting will be in 3 years time. It would look even more glorious in maroon this time though 😉

Can you even imagine how awful it would look were it any shade of green? Believe it or not, I was present at the opening of the Forth Road Bridge in 1964 ... on a wee boat bobbing about on the Forth. I may be 6' under by the time any re-painting of the railway bridge is completed. Ach weel ... such is life, eh? 🙃

Possibly reduced to gibbering in an old folks home about 16th May 1998 ? 😀 Surely Hearts can win at least 1 more trophy by the time the scaffolding comes down ? 😏

Wee Mikey
Where is this? I'll bet that there has been (or have been? - grammar confusion 🤷♂️) countless thousands of folks since 2010 who don't realise that they're stepping up, or down, a work of art. I could include a cryptic clue or two, but don't want to compromise my CREEDence. (sic) 🙃 Edited October 16, 2023 by Wee Mikey

The agent has only just phoned her this morning, but she deftly side-stepped the sales pitch and it'll be a while before any decision is made. Sound advice, thanks. Its certainly more expensive than we first thought, for sure. I mean to say £32K is hardly a pittance so serious thought required prior to commiting ... but ... If you're happy with your one, which it seems that you are going by previous posts, then the potential re-sale value is almost not worth bothering about as you have it to enjoy for as long as it suits you. If we go ahead then it'll be somewhere for keeps rather than an 'investment', if you know what I mean? Hence, I'll be deid before any re-sale. 😄 I know this reply is like a blast from the past but look up and join Holiday Park Action Group on FB. Read the stories and it could save you a fortune.
