Malinga the Swinga
No idea why officials have it in for Washington but after the roughing the passer call a game or so ago, this time they're battered by an interference call that defied logic that allows Seattle a victory. These guys are out of control in New York and deciding who they want to win games.

But against teams with similar talent above .500 they struggle. Which is par for the course obviously. But makes it hard to see if they are a genuine SB contender or a flat track bully. Still the speed they have on offense is frightening. As long as Tua holds up it will be an exciting season for Phins fans. Yeah, until they beat a top tier team they'll always have their doubters and be considered by some as a paper tiger team. The teams they've lost to though are (or were in the case of the Bills) all teams right at the very top (Eagles, Chiefs and aforementioned Bills) and 2 of the 3 were away from home with the 3rd being a "neutral" site. Luckily for the Dolphins, they don't face another top team until the last 3 week (Cowboys, Ravens, Bills) and before then they have 5 winnable games (on paper). IF they can win their division and get at least one home playoff game, I think they'll be ok, but I find it hard to see them going all the way because of those 3 losses to good teams. As with every team in the league, injures are going to be key too. If they lose Tua or Tyreek for any length of time, or if they lose more OL to injuries (both Guards injured at the moment, and Armstead never seems to be able to play more than a couple of games in a row), they're going to struggle. PortyJambo
Bengals might be done for this season. 5-5 record and inferior division and conference record to the rest of their division and conference with regards to a Wildcard spot...and now Burrow likely to miss time with a wrist injury. Malinga the Swinga
Fantastic performance from Sam Howell as qb for Commanders. Despite defence setting sack record, he managed to appear unable to distinguish between his receivers and Giants defenders and just kept passing ball to opposition. Rumour has it that OC duties will be split between QB and RB coaches so will be interesting to see who gets the RB1 call, Harris or Warren

The odd good pass that commentators rave about interspersed with underthrown efforts to free receiver's, passes that players 8 feet tall couldn't reach and an ability to pass the ball where receivers were about 2 seconds ago. His passing stats are skewed with most coming after we go down by so many, game is gone and other team let him pass. I reckin he will be gone halfway through next season when we hire coach who is awake during games and actually has a clue how to coach. luckyBatistuta
So all the commentators and experts who have actually played the game (Tony Romo etc) are wrong and you’re right. This is one of the things that is wrong with the NFL nowadays when it comes to QB’s, nobody’s willing to give young rookies time to develop. How many games in the NFL has he started? It was mentioned yet again last night just how many times he has to throw the ball with someone in his face. His OLine stinks, he’s under pressure almost every throw. You’ll get your wish soon enough, he’ll be out the game like Luck was…badly injured.

Yeah, it's been a bit of a changing of the guard at QB in the last few years with the likes of Manning, Brady, Brees, Rivers all retiring. Only one left really is Rodgers and I don't see him playing a lot longer. I'm sure a few of the "younger" ones will go on to have equally successful careers (Mahomes is already well on his way) and it's always the nature of sport that stars retire and new players emerge, but it has felt like it's been quite sudden recently rather that the usual gradual thing.
