"Cult Hero" XI

BRY

Recommended Posts

I'm sure this has been done before, but never mind.

Who would you put in your "cult hero" best XI?

Not necessarily the best of the Hearts legends, but those players who were popular for perhaps other less obvious reasons...

Here's some that spring to mind for me:

MILLER (LEE) PINILLA

MCCANN (NEIL) BERRY BRELLIER MIKO

WEBSTER BRUNO MCPHERSON LEVEIN

ROUSSET

Smith

Kidd

McPherson

Levein

Pointon

Cameron

Busby

Brellier

McCann

Robertson

Baird.

Set up in a conventional 4-3-3 formation.

Since this team are a selection of players from the 80s and 90s (strange no-one from our current team can get in this 11!) I think our fans from the late 70s and early 80s would be my pick to support this team.

Pointon

Kidd

Neilson

Mckenna

Gronlund

Brellier

Busby

Quitongo

De Vries

Some players I would include.

I think some of the people mentioned by others are more hero's than cult hero's. It all depends on definition I guess.

Baird (played a complete game in goal at Pittodrie after Henry was injured in the warm up).

Kidd

Thorn

Bruno

Pointon

Brellier

Cameron

Skacel

Busby

Adam

Foster

All the scorers in the 2 Cup Final victories that I've seen have to be in my team.

If we played this team on Sunday I predict that the match would be abandoned after our 5th red card.

Magic post, I forgot about Thorn, good shout on that too. What a team that would be though (prior to the reds of course) :santa1:

I'd have Salvatori in an 11 like this

You know he went about his business so quietly and efficiently he dropped blow almost everyones radar.

In that respect he has to be cult hero
