Why if this recession was the worst since the 1920's are we not seeing the type of strikes and rationing that went on during the winter of discontent and many other times through our recent history? bigwull22 Posted December 3, 2009 Share Posted December 3, 2009 Because its not hit home yet, when we are all paying this money back( that was squandered on protecting the rich) by no wage rises and worsening working terms and regulations not allowed to retire until at least 70 no NHS and no safetynet, then it will hit home, will the rich be effected, will they ****. Don't think things will go that far but I agree with you that the affects are likely to be with us for a long time and that we may not have seen the worst yet.
