Ours isnt much better in the Cup but the losses don't outweigh the wins

Hearts Heritage
The game is a 'one off' and no amount interpretation of the stats will predict the winner. Hearts have a marginal advantage in away games Winning 5 to Hibs 4. cuddledoon
A replay might NOT be good for Hibs - as they have NEVER won a Scottish Cup replay against us after a drawn match !!!!! (They did win the 1910 game after Hearts were winning the abandoned first tie).

Hearts Heritage
Somebody help a dumb blonde here please, 12+9+7+3=21??? They have been paired together 21 times in the past. So it is 21 ties. Hearts winning 12 Hibs winning 9 = 21 'winners' of the games There have been 7 draws and 3 abandoned games which resulted in replays. loveofthegame
So taking out games in the 19th Century and very early 20th, we've beaten them 11x to their 4 victories. Sounds good to me.
Era Macaroons
Thanks, interesting reading & informative as ever. Had to laugh at the bit where the ref stopped it when the crowd were 3 yards onto the pitch (as if just 1 or 2 yards on the pitch was ok).
Deek
Going back to the 79 cup game. I recall standing in the Dunbar end when the Hobo's beat us 2-1. You have Gordon Rae and Ralph Callaghan down as their scorers, but I thought George Stewart scored for them. I vaguely remember a newspaper headline which said something like "By George its Stewart", but it was a long time ago.
