Maradona also won their only Italian League title for Napoli when it was arguably the best league in the world. Maradona! Maradona He actually won two league titles with Napoli and a UEFA Cup (the year we lost to Bayern Munich in the quarters). The only other player who came close to single handedly winning the World Cup for his country was Roberto Baggio. Overall though Georgie Best (pre Hibs - obviously) would have made them both look like Neil McFarlane. I was about to say he was better than both?! Too young to have seen Pele, and only seen little of Maradona but having seen Pele's stats I've gone for him. To say he never played in Europe is a moot point for me, at the time the South American game was as good as the European as not as many players left for Erope as they do now.
