I think the guys running Kickback now are far more professional than before, no question. Just the interest in Hearts is on the wane. We are all tired, too long with the same crap and nothing much we can do about it. When we are feeling good (or even bad) about ourselves we have floods of posts, but the fact is they are all rehashes of previoius posts. There is only so much you can say about Hearts, and too many want to say it again and again and again. That equals boring, boring, boring... It's got that, when you see a thread and you think that sounds good, I'll have a look at that, and you get about 6 or 7 posts in, and it's like Groundhog Day!!! You can pick any thread, and if it's on the face of it a "runner", it doesn't matter whether it's pro or anti, the same stuff comes out, sometimes regurgitated in a slightly different way, but often, not even as inventive as that!!! The lunatics have taken over the asylum may be a bit extreme but, let it suffice to say, well, it's about as entertaining as it used to be watching Kilmarnock in the 60's - got it right, results wise a lot of the time, but boring as hell!!! ................ When things are going reasonably smoothly, people are less prone to rush to the keyboard and vent their spleen. Things have been quiet of late...comparitively speaking that is. Now, this obviously could be taken as a positive....but if you are a pessemist, then it is only a matter of time before another disaster strikes! awadooningorgie2 Posted November 7, 2008 Author Share Posted November 7, 2008 I think the whole 'Hobo' accustaions does act as a bit of a deterrent - posts like the guy who met Csaba at the airport are good but why the need to 'provide boarding passes' , 'name the names' etc. It is tiresome and I'm sure does prevent people posting as much, reducing the level of debate. It's a message board for Gods sake - not a school playground. I still browse a lot but have stopped posting - just interested to see the dramatic fall off in posts...glad to see there are as many lurkers hanging around though Dexter. I've noticed a slow down as well; there can be days when there is no movement on the threads below the top 6 or 7 (especially in the shed) for absolutely ages. I used to be all about the terrace. Now I can barely be arsed. A lot of threads are the same arguments played out betwene the same sets of people, ad nauseum. A lot of the better posters are posting less and less. However, these things go in cycles. TBH a st midden game away, and no real news coming out of the club at the moment, means there is really nothing to talk about, so that could go some way to explaining the downturn. I can remember quite a few times in the last few years when I have despaired at the crap on here, only for it to pick up a mere 2 weeks later and go into a really good spell. I've still been browsing a bit I don't hang around as long as usual. Hopefully it will pick up as the teams fortunes pick up.
