Jamie Stays

Don't know if anyone else gets this, but I've got a picture of a black girl with a sizeable ahem, booty with the caption 'Jamie Sizzling Hot' next to it appearing on this thread!

Surely this isn't the sort of thing which should be appearing on a 'family' site?! :)

Jamie MacDonald will stay as part of the squad according to Csaba today....

Feel quite sorry for the lad, he obviously wants to go on loan and get good experience. Also with Kello appearing to be the new golden boy from Kaunas on the scene and Balogh in the wings it won't do him much good.

Or maybe after speaking with Csaba he fells he has a future here.

But that wouldn't fit in with your "everything about HMFC is negative" outlook would it.

I think it would be better for all parties if he went on loan again to get more experience.

We have plenty enough goalkeepers to be cover - 6 with first team squad experience

What has his future being here got to do with going out on loan for experience? Is going on loan not a short term solution to gain first team football? Or does that not fit in with your "everything about HMFC is wonderful" outlook?

Good reply H.A.N.S. - Better watch though, you should know by now that if you question anything that comes out of Tynecastle then you incur the wrath of the "Happy Police" whose job it seems is to ensure that we all must live in an unquestioning world of idyllic positivity.

Shabba can say whatever he wants people to hear, McDonald has little to no chance of making it with Hearts, when Kello eventually goes, along with Balogh, another Kaunas or eastern european keeper will come along and take his place, such a shame that loads of our youngsters don't get a sniff of a chance in first team football because of constant loanees coming in, pashes me off!

For what it's worth I don't think everything in the garden is rosey, far from it. I just don't immediately look for the negative in every piece of info about my club, which too many on here seem to revel in.

But we have one of the youngest first teams in the SPL.

JAMIE MacDONALD will remain at Hearts after a brief discussion with manager Csaba Laszlo yesterday. The goalkeeper spoke publicly last weekend about leaving Tynecastle on loan but Laszlo has received no indication that the player wants to move.

"Jamie has been training all week and has not told me nothing," said Laszlo. "I asked yesterday: 'Jamie, is everything okay? Would you like to tell me something?' He said: 'No, no, it's okay, coach.'

"Jamie is definitely part of the squad here. He will be on the bench on Saturday and will remain involved in the next games. He will stay with Hearts, he is a young player who would like to play but we can only use one goalkeeper. Jamie has a future here, definitely."

MacDonald outlined his disappointment at being dropped following his first-team debut at Ibrox last month but, with Hungarian goalkeeper Janos Balogh injured, he is needed as back-up to Marian Kello.

Andy Driver is unlikely to play against Inverness Caledonian Thistle this weekend after visiting a London specialist about inflammation in his Achilles. Laszlo hinted that he will not press the winger into action unnecessarily.

"Andy is back from London and he doesn't have any problems but we must remember he has not trained since last week," he said. "It's always a question if somebody doesn't train whether they can play. He had an injection to calm the inflammation in his Achilles. We sent him to London to protect him and the specialist says everything is okay."

Laszlo revealed he is considering some alterations to his side after last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Falkirk. "Maybe it's possible to change the team, we have some opportunities but there are still two days until the game so you never know what can happen," he said.

"Michael Stewart has a knock on the inside of his leg from the weekend and Christos Karipidis has a knock to the inside of his knee. They have only done light training but their problems are not serious so we can see how they are for the weekend and which players might need a rest."

Meanwhile, Hearts have expanded their Lithuanian contingent with the capture of highly-rated 17-year-old forward Arvydas Novikovas from FC Vilnius.

The player will remain in Lithuania until later this year as he recovers from injury and will then join Darren Murray's under-19 squad. Novikovas was capped by Lithuania's Under-21 side at the age of 16 and is one of the country's most promising talents.

He will join compatriots Marius Zaliukas, Saulius Mikoliunas, Deividas Cesnauskis and Audrius Ksanavicius at Hearts.

Fair enough WW - I do take your point about the immediate look for negativity and you are right there are people who do look for it. Equally at the other end of the spectrum there are people who attack anyone who dares to question which is just as bad. Somewhere in the middle lies reasonable, open debate which both of the above types tend to stifle.

Cheers !

Bit harsh......maybe Kello is there because he has proved to be a competent goalkeeper.

Csaba wants him to stay so he stays, that's it over.

The club comes first. He is not the only reserve keeper in the world that wants a first team game.

What next? Any player that is not getting a game should be allowed to go when and where they want or the club is a big bad bully.

Some folk will have to try and remember what supporting the club really means. :o

Given that we now know he didn't think it was worth bringing up with the manager, can we assume he's not actually all that bothered about it and that there are no evil forces at work here?

Sounds like a lesson learned in handling the media more than anything else.
