was at the stand during the festival for best of irish comedy, one of the comics asked if any of us were going to glasgow anytime soon, if we were could we please inform them that the war is over, and it was never about football anyway! got a great cheer from the audience. quite topical regarding this debate. one of the othe comic ( i think it was kevin gildea) +took the **** out of the irish folk singers whinging on about misery and starvation, and sung an up to date irish folk song about the aircon on my porche is knackered, my bang and olafson system isnt working and so on, vloody hilarious!.

This debate about the songs Rangers and Celtic fans sing, sums up the why we should never allow ourselves to become an Edinburgh version of Rangers, as i suspect some on here wish.

Its a football team you go to support not a religion,race of people or political party.

It tells you all you need to know about the old firm that so few of their songs are about football.
