Hello

Heading to Kuala Lumpur soon and thinking about buying a new MP3 player (should be much cheaper there?). I do not want an i-pod and currently have a Sony that I really like but it is old now.

So what do you recommend?

WHy not just keep the Sony as long as it still works?

Depends what you're after.

I bought an Ipod Classic as it was the only one I could find with 160gb of storage but the sound quality isn't as good as it could be. I would strongly recommend forking out for some decent headphones if you don't already have them

i got an I pod touch this week and i think its pretty good.

I got one at Christmas from Santa, I love it. Think it is far more than the OP wants to pay though.

I've got an iRiver (in maroon) and I'm very happy with it. It's supposed to be one of the best mp3 players but I don't really know why it's better than an iPod or Creative etc.
