If you look at our accounts, it was positive and that was before the Miovski sale was taken into account

But then we've built an entire stadium since you threw the Dick up, £50m+ would put a dent in your profitability.

Glad to hear it. 😁

On a side note, it's 8 years today, since it was reported in the press that your mob had signed Yerda Selsavon.

Yerda Selsavon joke is a lot older than 8 years

Correct

Hearts have recently invested around 27mil on our ground and more when we first started.

Aberdeen have a huge problem and they know it...costs are much higher now too...they are fked..

What route you taking into town? Off at Westhil and in through there

You'd be quicker on the esplanade and going out via Blackdog than getting stuck in the middle of town trying to get out

94 premier league appearances Vs Rowles' 82, and Rowles' have been much more recent.

I'd suggest Rowles knows the league at least as well, and has experience at a much higher level. I'd keep playing him until/unless he goes.

It was more McCart's aerial abilities I was hoping we would use and the fact he has previous experience of the league, as opposed to any other new signing who would possibly have to adjust.

Looking at it more closely and McCart really hasn't had many minutes since October, so happy enough to play Rowles if he is still here. He did play very well last game.

What pubs do the Hearts fans congregate at pre match on Aberdeen?

Been a long time since I last went to a game at Pittodrie but used to enjoy going to The Prince of Wales just off Union Street both before and after the games. Support pretty mixed certainly before the match and atmosphere pretty friendly with decent banter. No idea what it's like now though. Perhaps @IveSeenTheLight will have a more recent perspective on it?

The Prince of Wales is nice, as is Blackfriars.

I'm not totally in the know for away fans coming to Pittodrie but I thought the Saltoun Arms was usually frequented by the away fans prior to the game as its along the road from the away end entrance

Fair enough but by the time you get out the away end and round to University road, you'll be caught in traffic and would be quicker using the esplanade.

Up to yous though

Word of warning-it's apocalyptic cold and icy here in Aberdeen atm.

This will be called off if this holds up through to Sunday.

If a match gets cold aff in Aberdeen because it's cauld n' icy there will be a lot of fixture backlog.

Completely the wrong side of Pittodrie for away fans.

Far better to use the esplanade

Should be perfect then, there wont be any home fans milling around after the game , I am sure they will have left with about 30mins to go .

How are the glory hunters handling the having the old Aberdeen back

He's the best striker,  but it's a team game.

NC is building a team this season and into next.

He doesn’t get back in for me just now. We’ve almost by accident landed on a front 4 that look like it has promise and with Kabangu coming in, you’ve don’t want to undo that by bringing Shankland in and having to revert back to how we were. He hasn’t been missed in all honesty

Facts.

Shanks doesnt get back in. He'll have to get to the back of the queue.

Team is playing well and winning games again without him.

We've only won two games since he's been out injured. Biggest thing that has changed is actually no playing two Defensive midfielders. He's not been scoring but he's better than Boyce. This place is mental sometimes. He's our best player.

If shanks was actually fit again and back in the team (unlikely I know) I really hope they keep the captains armband with Gordon. It's an easy chance to take that burden off him.

Think it’s more his attitude than his ability. Can’t be doing with any more of his sulking about the pitch looking like he can’t be arsed.

It’s no coincidence that the players look more up for it since he’s been out .

My theory is that we’re no longer having to build every attack with him in mind. I think we spent a lot of time trying to find him and get him into positions where he could get a scoring run going. It’s almost like we felt sorry for him and started feeling sorry for ourselves because the guy we were supposed to rely on wasn’t cutting it anymore. It’s almost like weve said ‘Feck it, we’re just going to have to get on with this without him’ You can see it in quite a few players that they’re giving an extra 10% and a bit of unity has appeared from nowhere.

Let’s not pretend we’ve solved every attacking problem by him not being being there. We’re still not scoring many goals, taking chances, but we’re starting to look like we could. You couldn’t say that about us very often this season.

This is a player who clearly doesn’t want to be here now. I wouldn’t say he’s not trying but psychologically he’s  gone already and I wouldn’t start him again and certainly not as captain.

Europe last year?

Or previous players sold?

Agree. Two wins on the trot but fine margins. Boyce has been good, less so againt Utd, but if he'd made contact with that cross he probably wouldn't have scored and denied Penrice behind him. That with Vargas' usual lack of product would've seen another draw. In the games I've seen, Shanks has still been busy and interested for the most part. When he goes, thanks for the memories but no-one we have currently will come close to his acheivements or potential.

I'd keep Shanks, Boyce and Dhanda in the mix - preferably in their 'natural' positions as far as that can be accommodated. Interesting to see how Elton influences things too.

If we pause for a moment and think about the general consensus that Shanks doesn't start if fit on Sunday.  At start of season we all thought we would be goosed without him.  It's amazing how quickly clubs can move on and how no player will ever be bigger than the club.

Be happy to see him on the bench, coming on late on to smash the 4th in and give him a well needed confidence boost.

Thanks, I'm much better.

It was 2 years ago now (time flies) when I was seriously unwell.

Don't know how this weekend is going to go.

On form you guys are the favourites and we are struggling defensively in the squad.

Just hope we get Tobers in ahead of Sunday and he's cleared to play

Fair, but it's good to have him back and available.

We are struggling and hort in defence, but I think as usual this will be a tight game

You should be the favourites going into the weekend

Not sure how you can call us glory hunters. We've went through many a season being poor.

Statistically thought we've been slightly on top of the games between our clubs, but honestly we are two very similar sized clubs that can go either way when we play

Jeezo, time does fly!

We've definitely been improving under Critchley albeit with some seriously bad results as well. Should have been 9 out 9 but for two crazy minutes in Dingwall. Our Achilles heel has been not being able to convert time and passes in the final 3rd into goals. Kabangu's work permit has come through so hopefully he will offer something different. Can't say we'll be favourites given our recent record but thought we should have won there last time until Grant got sent off so we'll see. Anyway, take care fella but hope your Sunday is not a celebratory one 😂. I'm sure you'll be wishing us the same!

Lets not forget we are missing Taylor, Kent, Kingsley, Niuewenhof, Beni and Shankland.

All teams are short just now.

Absolutely, both our away records have been dire at each others ground for several seasons, but at the moment we are on poor form, are playing our second choice goalkeeper and have 3 centre halfs all out injured, so its a makeshift defence.

Thats why I put you slight favourites

Indeed I hope I'm wrong and we sneak a win but I'll pop in win lose or draw as I always do and take any "medicine" some of you think I am due :P

Best of luck (apart from Sunday of course)
