Expecting this system to throw up a few curveballs and eyebrow raising players, perhaps even from within our league.

I'm excited for when we sign total nobodies from lower league England and folk lose their shit, just like when we appointed Critch 😂

I'd like:

1987's John Robertson

1995's Pasquale Bruno

2011's Rudi Skácel

Please and thank you.

I think I could stomach most things but for Hibs defenders

We already have a pacey and direct winger, hopefully Finlay Pollock is pulled back from his loan.

Critchley was at Livi v Raith on Saturday.

We still need continuity like Kingsley or Gordon. We don't want to end up soulless like the Hobos.

I think you're right, but I think it's probably more likely to be defensive players, as the exciting attacking players tend to be the ones to attract most interest. Although I do understand that our record sale is Gordon!

I see St Mirren have entered talks to try and keep Olusanya. He's a bit older at 27, but I think would be a shrewd buy for Hearts IMO.

For the defender, I'd really like Liam Lindsay. Him & Kent would be a brick wall

Although, neither of those suggestions will feature I think!

Some really good players in the championship, and good value for money there too.

Wouldn’t shock me to see us take a wee punt or two someone like an Ethan Ross or Dylan Watret from Ayr.

Don't think we will see player like this window. Will be a forward.  Will definitely be looking at players in the lower league's in England and English 23s . But that won't be to the summer. South, north and central America will be on agenda. A lot of players will be going out of contract or will be available January.

To be fair, Oda has pace.

I would be intrigued to see how Critchley works with him. I do think he can still be a good player for us (I think he is underrated, and more effective then people realise) and could thrive under Critchley.

Part of the problem is that players like Spittal and Dhanda need something to work off,Spittal had Bairs strength and pace,Dhanda had Whites strength and Simon Murray's pace (resulted in Murray's best ever season).

I just want Ellis Simms back (or his nearest cheaper equivalent)

Imagine if we can unearth a player with the same potential using the analytics to find someone flying under the radar, pick them up cheap and we sell in 2 years time for £8 million.

Bull's-eye

Wouldn't surprise me if we see nothing.

Critchley got the job because hes a good coach.

He got the job because he has a track record of improving players.

Plenty games between now and the end of January to see what he can do with this group.

One of each January window. Only more if we move players on. I would be more tempted to get one striker and one central defender.

See one thing I think is probably worth cautioning on. Identity.

If we become like a kid in a sweetie shop picking up all these random foreign signings, my worry would be that we could very quickly end up with a team of foreign players that don't give a **** and I worry as well that the incumbent players may see the writing on the wall - this start to the season has been wholly unacceptable, and I think has put a big question mark over a lot of the senior players in the team.

I'm sure the club are smart enough to realise this anyway, but I think its really important that a strong scottish core in the team is maintained as much as possible.

We can all remember the complaints not long after 2014 where we saw a litany of foreign signings being made and I think its really important that the club do go all in on Blooms analytics, but that the identitiy of the team is preserved (Where we aim to recruit the best Scottish talent we can get our hands on, supplemented with academy grads and analytic driven signings).

Like I said……

2 strikers and 2 wingers are definitely required.

Our attacking options are absolutely horrendous and this lies firmly at the door of Steven Naismith.

Section Q

I think we should consider offering Ryan Kent a 6 month deal until the end of the season. Critchley knows him well and allowing for the fact we may still be in Europe post January, he might see it as a chance to be in the shop window.  I know some on here are dead against this and have issues with him, but he scored a couple of decent goals against us, and he's  proven at this level.

Agreed.  Possibly 2.  Defo need at least 1.

And a right back, Oyegoke is dreadful, his performance last night was a joke, watching him up close last night, very underwhelming.

did not have his best night, thats for sure.  Could do with getting RB sorted one way or another.  We seem to have tried so many times :)

I'd be expecting 7 to 10 in and about the same out January.

Mostly loans and frees but 2 or 3 for small fees. Then the same each window but increasing the transfers for fees and decreasing the frees and loans.

Baffling that it's a position we can't nail down, surely out of the thousands of right backs we can find one that'll do a job. Need to stop shopping in the huddy isle.

Doubt we will see much change in January, unfortunately we are stuck with this squad for a while.

Grant, McKay, Boyce and Halkett (if he's not going to be given games) all need to be moved on.

Musa and Salazar too, wtf have they been signed for? There's 6 names to start with.

Oda, now in his 3rd season and we are still not getting any consistency in performance from him. Forrest and Devlin both squad players. There's another 3 that are not starting 11 level, week in, week out.

We also need a younger goalie coming thru. Just why we signed Fulton is beyond me.

January is as important about who’s going out as who’s coming in. Halkett, Boyce, McKay and Grant all need to be shown the door and should’ve been out the door before atkkinson and Tagawa who I think may have actually contributed something this season. There is so much deadwood in our squad taking up a good wage

On Taylor, he’s still here. I saw him behind the dugout last week. Wondering if it’s not quite as severe as we thought.

Bernini’s superb but yeah, he’s here for a reason, can’t play theee games on the bounce without being out for another three.

Now the pressure is on boatang who is having to play every game and is looking knackered as well.

A player Critchley should know very well ,contract expires 31 Dec 2024.

Left footed giving us a balance in the central midfield area.
