I wonder if anybody has checked how many of the players who played last night played against us?

Both teams in last nights game started 5 players from their starting lineups against us.

Viktoria Plzen leading in Rome and tied 2-2 on agg with Lazio

Cercle Brugge after losing 3-0 last week lead 2-0 at home with 20 mins to go.

Can’t say I was impressed with either! Guess it shows that if we can improve to any degree we can at least aim to compete, with many, at least in the Conference League outside the elite nations.

Man U conceded a penalty via VAR.

1-2 down on the night.

That’s what I was thinking too, we wouldn’t have to improve much to be in the mix in Europe after Xmas the way it’s set up now, we could easily have beaten both of those you mentioned.

One of the teams who knocked us out with a Game 6 tight win have qualified for the Quarter finals. Celje won on penalties and are Slovenia's first European quarter finalists.

Yep, what could have been. To think we were 6th after the first two games. I’ve been pretty impressed with what NC has achieved so far. Europe is the exception sadly.

Still we have Europe to play for again this season and if we do manage to qualify we’ll be in a far better position to do well next season.

So the red card for Real Sociedad against Man United. Remind you of anything you’ve seen in the last few games? That is a carbon copy of the push on one of our players who didn’t get a red card? Carbon copy and EUFA ref sends him off. Jus sayin.

Rangers had 6 bookings inside 90 mins too. Would never see that during a domestic game at Ibrox for the same challenges.

We all know our officials are corrupt, but seeing the stark contrast in how they are refereed in Europe is infuriating.

Talking of dodgy refereeing, guess who we (Fiorentina) had for our game v. Panathanaikos last night - one of the most inept performances you'll see?

So bad in fact that 3 corners were given as goal kicks, numerous robust challenges went unpunished, a dive was given as a penalty and (televised) VAR wasn't used once in the whole game.

So bad that both managers were booked (their Portuguese one said the ref "was not up to par") and several international players on both sides, including Moise Kean, were actually laughing at many decisions.

Any guesses?

Yes, it was John Beaton and a Scottish team of officials! My son reckoned that VAR were maybe watching the Rangers match going on at the same time!

Aye. 100%. I know they are more corrupt but at least they know got to ref a game.
