What do you consider a remarkable job (most of the time) to actually be then?

I know exactly what a remarkable job cops do in a huge multitude of different ways and people making lazy uninformed statements do so normally because they don't.

Almost too idiotic a statement to respond to. Almost

There was more enough police there to split that fight up. I seen it. And if they're not there to maintain order, what are they there for?

That's a ridiculous comment. Firstly, in most situations now, cops are not allowed by senior officers to enter the crowd. So to label them lazy is totally unfair.   I presume you've never actually been sent into a hosile crowd at a football game!!!

Cops are massively overworked and do a remarkable job most of the time. A job that most wouldn't have the bottle to do

If what you say is correct, then what is the point of actually having police at football grounds, at a huge cost to the clubs.

Murrayfield semi was the worst I’ve seen for that. Seemed like every bam in Edinburgh had just turned up in the Hearts end that day.

That final against St Mirren in 2013 was quite bad as well.

Murrayfield was the most pished I’ve ever seen a Hearts support. Folk falling about everywhere. Squirmishes all over the place.

Scrap or two and the polis are soft.

Seen the riot police in Europe.

They don't wade in for a scrap or two either and they're not shy.

They're a visual deterrent only, unless something really bad kicks off

In this country at the Football, the only thing that could probably kick off is an OF team losing, especially at home

the posh bit

I was in section I when the row in front of Ryan Stevenson occurred. One or two familiar loudmouths from over the years, threatening to scatter people in front of their own kids and the kids of those they were scattering. Sad acts who have never changed.

It's probably a job that's beyond you so I get why you are lashing out.  It's not for everyone

Personally I don't think it's a job for half the people that get employed as Police officers nowadays either.

Lack of intelligence, drink, big days out at Hampden and 3 o'clock kick offs.  Excellent mix for the dafties.

Seen this at the last Hearts Rangers game at Hampden in the League Cup. Some old ogre faced guy was giving abuse to a much younger guy before the old guy started grabbing and shoving him. There's some absolute arseholes and goblins in our support, let's be honest.

You're right, I'm not a racist small mixed bigot so wouldn't fit in with the police.

You sound like you're doing well tho.

I'd still like to know whose job it is to split up fights at the football, if it isn't the police?

I think you maybe meant 'minded' and not 'mixed' but I can't be sure. However I think your post suggests small minded is exactly what you are.

P.S. I'm not in the police
