As we all know Taylor Swift is performing at Murrayfield in the summer and the demand for hotel rooms is high I would imagine we are increasing our prices due to the high demand for rooms

I would hope like any hospitality business we adjust the prices for when demand is high obviously not to the same degree as a city centre hotel

Nah, it's a new hotel, we should just be concentrating on getting people to use it, give them the best experience possible, make them go away happy, they'll tell their friends, and come back again.

p.s **** Taylor Swift.

The rooms sold out months ago. £400 minimum nightly rate is what I heard.

We’ve got people running the hotel who know what they’re doing.

£400 for a night in Gorgie?

Ffs, we were only £308 per night for a city centre one in early March.

Who is this Tailor Swift btw?

Very good, John.

And, btw, I deliberately spelled his name wrong.  .

Sold out for between 400 and 535 per night depending on room / package taken.

Heavy “pretending” not to know who she is or any of her songs I suspect.

Absolutely. People pretending they don't know arguably the most famous entertainer in the world right now or any of her songs that appear to have taken permanent residence on almost every mainstream chart.

"Never heard of her."

I know full well who she is but I couldn't tell you any of her songs either.

She isn’t played on any radio stations I listen to. I listened to her album that came out during lockdown. And that’s it in terms of listening to her. It didn’t give the urge to explore her catalogue.

Radio stations aren't charts. I don't know what you listen to so I can't comment. If you listen to Classic FM that might be why.

I mainly listen to 6 music. They tend not to play chart music or have charts.

You’re argument isn’t making any sense. You posted supporting a post that said people were being disingenious claiming to not have heard her music. Now your saying that people would only have heard her if they listen to chart stations. Maybe you should have been more specific and said people who listen to certain pop stations would have heard her music.

I mean that might be why you've not heard her on the radio.

One person said they’d never heard of her. Morgan then pretended he’d never heard of her.

What a weird thread.

Probably not one for folks who have neither heard  or heard of her.

My kids don't allow me to ignore it. I can't stand Beyonce as a solo artist even though I thought Destiny's Child were fantastic.

But I will say I enjoy a good few Taylor Swift songs. She's a talented girl who writes for many other artists other than herself.

I listen to all music tbh

Not a fan in the slightest, but she does seem to have somewhat of a psychotic/passionate fanbase. Definitely a golden opportunity to make some money from the hotel.

There’s a girl in my work (23 year old) who is obsessional and only listens to her. Actually has nothing else on her Spotify but Taylor Swift. As someone who listens to nearly everything that utterly baffles me.

Why don't you email her management and let them know?  I'm sure she'd welcome the feedback.

Not when she's helping HMFC to rake in the cash with hotel bookings.

I'm off to stick Aja on again.
