Dirk Diggler
Mmmmmm................. Celtic or Charlton ? 50 miles or 500 miles from his family ? I recently read he would consider travelling nearer 5000 miles for his next move. Or will Doncaster be far enough for him? Don't buy the reasons of uprooting his family one bit. It's London, A 50 min flight away.
Dirk Diggler
I know. It's like someone did it on purpose. Thankfully I will be off to the pub soon. Lucky you.
Drylaw Hearts
after he had said what he did it was inevitable mate It was inevitable. And I disagreed with it at the time. blairdin
Thats up to you. But...... If Valdas had shown some backbone and supported Elvis in private like he did pubically then the Celtic situation would never have happened. Can you explain this or is it not for a public forum - genuinely interested?

Drylaw Hearts
Can you explain this or is it not for a public forum - genuinely interested? It's been explained before. Valdas returned from 'sick leave' prior to Inverness away. Elvis was installed back to the team and on the Monday or Tuesday afterwards Valdas publically stated that Elvis was the cement on which his team would be built. A few days later Valdas told Elvis (via a phonecall IIRC) that he did not see him playing many more matches due to his age or something like that. That was Elvis's last day as a Hearts player. Pressleys destination after was a right ****er, but that should not tarnish what he did for the club when he was here. Cancer my erse, Therapist. Its such a shame that after all the club and Pressley achived together that his time ended the way it did. Bummer.

I'll always have more respect for Valdas than I will for Ehlvis. More respect for Valdas than Elvis. Holy moly. jambogaza
But he was the Manager when Elvis was hounded out. What the **** has that got to do With Valdas? I'm assuming your point is the fact he had no backbone to stand up to Romanov when he interfered? Well if that was the case, how would he even get a say in the fate of Pressley? We should have been 3 or 4 up by half-time Interesting pre match discussion between Nevin and Smith about both owners. Both agreed Myleson was the safest bet and that he had provided for Gretnas future if anything should happen to him. Errrmmmmm !! And Judas and Elliot should have been in the team. Never watched the whole game again ,but I do remember that almost everyone I spoke to in the ground had this horrible feeling that Gretna were going to take us to the cleaners( and I spoke to loads of supporters all over the place trying to have a fly fag) not one person, that I can remember was confident we would win,our defence was a shambles,Gordon looked kinda ropey, our midfield was being over run and IIRC nothing would stick up front. Magnoem
The job Valdas took on was very surprising but probably it's only a "warm up" - the contract is only for 6 months with an option to leave if he gets a better offer. Besides one of the shareholders of the 2nd division team is his old pal from Lithuanian national team, Raimondas Zutautas. Little bit of topic but here's Zutautas at Ibrox
