How did he deserve that?

He deserves to be at low end of football because he is a rat.

Gigolo-Aunt

Think DH is referrring to Valdas constantly lying to the fans and fronting decisions that he was not making.

Dont mind the bloke, cheers for the cup but I wish he showed bigger balls than he did.

Let it go DH.

I'm sure, In fact I'm certain, Elvis has.

I'll never let it go.

I'll be angry to the grave.

I predict Valdas will be packing shelves in some Lithuanian Supermarket within 3 years.

I disagree.

Lay off Valdas, I liked the bloke. Only for his cracking impersonations of Ivan Drago mind.

Footballing wise, pretty useless, and was a bit of a lap dog.

He will go down in history as a Scottish Cup winning manager.

Good luck Valdas.

He'll go down in history as the man who stabbed Elvis in the back.

The job was too big for him.

You could see him slowly unravel as time went on.

I had time for him as a person though. He gave us a cup and the greatest derby win of all time as well so I have a bit of a soft spot for him.

think he deserves a lot better tbh. FWIW i think when he first came in he got full control of the team and look what he did. 2nd in the league, Scottish Cup winners. Very underrated manager imo

While Mr Ivanauskas must take quite a bit of credit for the Scottish Cup win, sadly I don't think he made any contribution to ridding the club of the cancer that was Jhudas Presslhey.

As I said we've never recovered from Elvis leaving.

He showed the same passion for Celtic as he did for Hearts.

We miss having a player with even half the passion for the team/club that he did.

Regardless of his career choice after leaving us.

Tin hat time, but I agree with this.

I liked Valdas and I think he did a decent job in difficult circumstances. At his time, many Hearts fans had their heads in the sand (myself included) with regards to what was going on and he tried to shield that from us to get us through the season and to the cup win.

Call him a rat, a bottle-merchant, whatever for the way he handled the Elvis affair but surely it's easy to understand why he sided with mad Vlad, irrespective of whether it was right or wrong.

Lest not forget, mad Vlad drove Valdas to illness.

I wish him well.

Correct. Elvhis was well aware making that statement would make it much easier for the rheptile to slither off to ra sellik.

Thats up to you.

But......

If Valdas had shown some backbone and supported Elvis in private like he did pubically then the Celtic situation would never have happened.
