Gigolo-Aunt
Think DH is referrring to Valdas constantly lying to the fans and fronting decisions that he was not making. Dont mind the bloke, cheers for the cup but I wish he showed bigger balls than he did.

chester copperpot
I disagree. Lay off Valdas, I liked the bloke. Only for his cracking impersonations of Ivan Drago mind. Footballing wise, pretty useless, and was a bit of a lap dog.

Chad Sexington
The job was too big for him. You could see him slowly unravel as time went on. I had time for him as a person though. He gave us a cup and the greatest derby win of all time as well so I have a bit of a soft spot for him.

Drylaw Hearts
As I said we've never recovered from Elvis leaving. He showed the same passion for Celtic as he did for Hearts. We miss having a player with even half the passion for the team/club that he did. Regardless of his career choice after leaving us.

FWIW i think when he first came in he got full control of the team and look what he did. 2nd in the league, Scottish Cup winners. Very underrated manager imo Tin hat time, but I agree with this. I liked Valdas and I think he did a decent job in difficult circumstances. At his time, many Hearts fans had their heads in the sand (myself included) with regards to what was going on and he tried to shield that from us to get us through the season and to the cup win. Call him a rat, a bottle-merchant, whatever for the way he handled the Elvis affair but surely it's easy to understand why he sided with mad Vlad, irrespective of whether it was right or wrong. Lest not forget, mad Vlad drove Valdas to illness. I wish him well.
