Tagawa has done everything right since he came on, about five or six really good runs that haven't been picked out because Fraser, Atkinson, Forrest and now Shanks have all either not made or ballsed up the pass.

Hope he gets more game time, maybe even starts, in the last few games.

Unfortunately for Tagawa, he came on when McKay and Grant were off the park. Quality of delivery went down as a result. Would agree it would be good to see him get more minutes in the run in.

What was with the ref changing the match ball after every goal?

We definitely played better when we got the ball in behind them, possession football got us nowhere.
Couldve been 6 or 7 easily.

We were laughing about that, they do it in Utaly for charity so it must’ve been something to do with that surely 😆

I’m not sure but is it perhaps something for a charity auction type thing?

Its that match worn company. So when a goal goes in the ball is bagged, authenticated and then auctioned off. A few teams are doing this I believe.

Makes sense now, cheers!

There was a nice wee moment when some along from me shouted out to Shankland during the game “Sign a new deal ….. 20 grand a week”. Shanks with a big smile did the signing gesture instantly. We now know a price!

This team has showed character quite a lot. It’s good to see. 2-0 down and we didn’t give up. Whole team played well but shankland is something else. That flick for cochrane was incredible.

I assume this thread was a hoot at 3.20.

Very impressive how the team didn't panic and ran out very comfortable winners in the end. Could have and probably should have been more.

It turned out that games in different seasons involving different managers and different squads was less of a predictor than simply looking at the current league table.

Food for thought.

Was different squads, seasons and managers in those 10 years.

Everything I posted was fact.

However, I am a happy Jambo tonight and hope you are too.

Crazy first half.

The defensive sloppiness is a concern but fortunately we rolled our sleeves up and put in a good performance after our first goal went in.

Grant and Shankland were excellent.

All roads lead to Gorgie

That was quite a weird game, we were terrible then looked like we would score every time the ball was crossed from the left. The three goals were almost carbon copies and that's what our midfielders need to be doing in more games, getting ahead of Shanks. The second half didn't live up to expectations but we never stopped trying to add to the score. I have to praise Grant who got involved a lot more today and I thought he was ahead of Beni today in controlling the midfield.

Very much so. 🤝

But the low scoring games were basically all from 4 seasons where Livi were a solid midtable team. This season they're terrible.

Yeah, I know mate, it’s less predictable saying tomorrow’s Sunday than saying those horrible ****s will blow it spectacularly but loved reading your post anyway, top man. :D

2 nil down (despite practically no reception on my phone) I managed to lump a bet on Hearts to win and Shankland to score.
I’m such a shiter - £2 bet - doesn’t even cover the two pints I got in Ryries waiting on the train back to Glasgow.

Not long in and my immediate thinking back on the game was exactly that, no panic just get on with the job.

knew we’d get goals back - didn’t assume it’d be that easy.

Last half hour was like a preseason friendly

To be honest I think it was because Livy are not very good if truth be told and therefore hence their league position 🤣

Of course we were good but against a far better team going two down early like that would not have been as easy to turn it around.

absolutely.
Really liked the optimistic set up of the team in an attacking sense but jings, if that had been Killie or Midden I wouldn’t have felt nearly as confident we’d get it back.

Totally agree mate . Slow slow slow from us early doors but as you say when getting behind them caused all sorts of problems. Really isn’t rocket science.

Big improvement needed next week obviously but even for bread and butter league games we need something different to get us on the front foot

let’s hope we get the answer in the summer

The positions he runs into are great, the moment we have a player who can actually pass the ball to him in these areas, I think he will score a good amount. Shankland was on the break with him, but was late releasing the pass forcing Tagawa to check his run so not to stray offside, then Shankland passed it where he would not get it.

Stating the obvious here but we need to start so much better next week. If we go two nil down next week rangers simply will not let us come back.

Absolutely delighted I won't have to watch Livi next season. Constant hoofball then wrestling and fouling from there, turgid stuff. No wonder they've got such a small support, must be dreadful giving up your day to watch that every week.

If we had defenders with their eyes open and no hangover, or whatever, you might have been spot on 🤨🙂
