All that needs to happen is to change the law so that social media companies are treated in the same way as any other publishers. They permit things to be published on their platforms. If there's anything unlawful in what's published, the responsibility for that should fall on the platform owner as much as on the writer. That's the way it's done for newspapers, TV and radio. There's no reason why social media should be any different. You'd see the town getting cleaned up pretty quickly if that happened, with no need for anything like the HCA. But that'll never happen.
