Don't mind a wee ice cream on a holiday. If I had to choose a favourite it would probably be a lemony one. Not something I'd get excited about though.

Mint choc chip.

Though Tony's chippie in Gilmerton, when i was a wee, sold nice Rum & Raisin. I always picked the raisins out though.

Used to be a cafe in Falkirk called the York cafe,it was owned by an  Italian family. The ice cream,I believe, was made in house using goats milk , believe me,it was the best ice cream I have ever tasted. Shame when they closed up🥺🥺

That thing you do

Being the Scottish patriot that I am, I'm partial to a very good ice cream group in Mexico called Santa Clara and their Escocés flavour. Yes, scottish flavour ice cream exists.

What do mexicans think Scotland tastes like? Vanilla, caramel, honeycomb and chocolate chips...apparently.

What does mexico thinking Scotland inspires and deserves its own flavour tell us? That they believe in us more than we do. More on that in the indy thread

When I was a kid my local ice cream shop (Gino’s on Granton Road) used to get milk churns delivered every morning and make the ice cream for the day ahead. He did one flavour and that was it. Years later his family persuaded him to branch out into exotica like strawberry. Still the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted.

I've been there. It's something else.

There's also a cracking wee ice cream shop in Brora that's outstanding too.

I think Waitrose stock it. Possibly Tesco also.

My local wee store in Kirkcaldy (Greens) stock it, but sells out quickly.

They also do a Limoncello and a Hazlenut & Cocoa but this Cherry one is just amazing. I've got a few folk hooked on it. 🤣

Nice I'll go on the search. I bet they sell it low and then hike the price up when you're addicted. B*****ds. 👿

It is about a fiver for 500g so not cheap...especially when you're like me and have to eat it by the tub. 🤣

Being a Musselburger I am spoiled with S Luca and Di Rollo on my doorstep.

For fancy shmancy ice cream was Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia before they discontinued it.

Sound.

Only ice cream I ever like is pistachio flavoured ones in Italy. And an occasional affogato after dinner of corned beef sandwiches, tripe and cigar ash.

Ketchup is ideal on a corned beef piece.

I've been meaning to try it but forget each time!

Generally like Rum & Raisin or Coffee flavours.   Pistachio is very underrated. Shout out to both malteser, and coconut.

Do Wall's still exist and do they still sell ice cream?

Wall's family brick was a Sunday afternoon treat in my family, but that was a very long time ago.

Lucas still do this, I think from Bonaly Farm at Bilston/Loanhead.

A man of taste.  Best I've had was in the posh part, upper heights of Naples, Vomero I think was the neighbourhood. Unreal.
