It just puts additional pressure on us if we were to be playing a non OF side, in the final, given the Europe incentive. On the flip side, maybe it would give us a better chance of winning the cup. Got to solely focus on the Morton game first of all, and before anything else. Aw don’t get me wrong…. If I could pick a team to scud in the final it would be the huns. Everyday of the week. I would be confident of beating them as well, but one bad game from us, they sneak in through the back door. Why risk it ? Being a one off game is the main issue and certainly nothing to do with shiting it! They will be going all out to win the cup as their season literally hinges on it Would also fancy our chances against either of the OF, but if we dont win, we still achieve our main objective, and the likes of the sheep, are left as an afterthought. tiger Rudi
Although giving fringe players more game time after the split might be seen to be a good idea, I would hope we keep changes to a minimum from week to week. Our season finishes at the cup final (hopefully) and we need to keep our run going, keep the momentum and keep a relatively settled side. As we'll be 3rd, then we'll be fine. Also as someone else pointed out, we're only due 2 home games after the split, so can't lose out. It's possible we could gain an extra home game. We could, in theory, play them 3 times at home but not a chance Celtic or the SPFL will allow that. Likewise we could go to Ibrox 3 times but as that would be perceived as Celtic getting shafted rather than Hearts getting shafted there is also no chance of that. Bongo 1874
This absolute loser mentality, I would rather get them in the final and beat them. Get that so far to feck man. We should be buzzing to play them anytime, the pressure is on them. They are fighting for a league. The fact we haven't beaten them once this season pisses me right off, because if you match them like we did Celtic and don't give them an inch,we beat them it's that simple. If we get Rangers at home,I want it packed the most volatile Tynecastle I've ever seen, that's how you change the mentality. It's then up to the boys and the management to deliver. The fear some have for them genuinely makes me sick.
