I'm adamant that I'm automatically more intelligent than anyone who believes in a God or such.

Of the abrahamic ones it’s definitely Christianity.

Every religion is full of judgemental sheeple who all seem to go against the fundamentals  of what a religion is meant to mean...They have not yet realised that if they can read then they don't actually need someone to interpret their holy book for them... So, unlike centuries ago, they don't actually need Holy men and women at all...

The new testament really is streets ahead unless you are that confused by politics you think it's not.

The very essence of forgiveness sets it above its nearest competition

Plus the wrath of the old testament.

The stamp of authority.

Plus Christians are better looking.

And the symbol of Christianity Jesus.

There is no one to match his wisdom .

Religion, - breeds hate and division, like politics.

That old chestnut.

Life is violent .

It's inherently part of nature.

Religion and politics have actually steered us away from the primitive urge

Christians who follow the way if Jesus are generally lovely people who do anything but judge.

Faith in such a way is imo a good thing.

If they’ve got brown sauce on them, then it’s no great loss.

Red sauce though... :sweeet:

Sauce wise, I suppose I'm ambidextrous, in that I can go either sauce, not at the same time obviously. But fried egg rolls with sauce should be outlawed, it has built in sauce, the yolk!

I prefer the protestant outlook on Christianity.

The original rebels.

And I think Jesus would approve of our slightly austere outlook.

You'd think that certain political types would feel akin to the protestations to yhe selling of tickets to heaven.

Even if they didn't believe in heaven.

Similar to their political hopes .

Personal faith can be a good thing.

It can give people comfort and strength.

I have zero issue with people who find individual solace in whatever religion they please.

They take what they need from the teachings and tenets of that religion and decide for themselves how to interpret those.

Organised religion, however, is a very bad thing.

That's when you let someone else tell you how the religion is supposed to be interpreted and how you should act and how you should think.

And that never ends well.

Organised religions are prone to exploitative people in positions of power, who willingly twist the teachings and tenets of that religion to suit their own selfish goals, obsessions, financial desires, sexual perversions and bitter hatreds.

Then the different people at the head of each religion split off and form fundamentalist sects, with their followers all pitted against each other in a battle to the death.

All because someone in power gets carried away with their own bullshit.

Untold millions of people have died throughout history because of this insanity.

All true Cade.

But we're always been bound by that.

It is what's advanced us.

It still does.

But now the religious don't use God's they use TV and media.

They rile us up with foreign ward.

Dividing us in our so called free democracy.

But the same good things hold true.

Religion wad and is politics.

And more atrocities and death is yhe result of political religion and atheist regimes.

By a country mile

Apart from judging those who like to engage in things that are deemed 'unchristian' - same sex marriage as an example? So that appears to be a sin, yet the fact that religion in general is responsible for the deaths of more people on this planet than even malaria, is conveniently overlooked.

Religious people don't judge. Yeah. Sound.

Religious people don't judge. Yeah. Sound.

I always remember the Frank Carson quote about the problem with Northern Ireland. Too many Protestants and catholics and not enough Christian’s. Though the idea of Christianity is grand very few adhere to it and use their own warped version.
