Brilliant for Leverkusen that they will finally win it but we know what happens next they become the Dortmund and Munich will strip them of everybody it's just what they do any deviation from the norm they eat up the opposition.

Aye, guess they'll just need to enjoy it while they can.

😆

Absolutely mate. I was thinking the same. Wouldn't care if the ass cheeks raided our squad in the aftermath of a historic title win

I think Alonso staying will mean that squad stays together for the Champions League, fantastic what's happening at the club, that Champions League final appearance at Hampden feels a very long time ago now!

Great for German Football.

It would be a great achievement if Leverkusen win it.

Through to the cup final! 40 games undefeated

And playing a second tier side in the final.  The league is already won and you'd have to think it's between them and Liverpool for the Europa League.

Sir Harold of White Hart Lane has every reason to be gutted.

The best centre forward in the world right now - badly let down by his team mates.

He (more than) did his bit.  The other 10, not so.

Be interesting to see how West Ham do against them next week. If they can keep it tight it should be a cracking 2nd leg back in London.

Aye, for sure. Feel bad for Harry but buzzing for Leverkusen.

Unfortunately Kane still has a very good opportunity to lift an even bigger prize in Germany this season.

Mad to think they haven't won the cup since 1993 and have never won the league, but here they are on the brink of winning both. Their fans must be absolutely buzzing

If they win the Europa too then that'll be the cherry on top

The hammers are a funny team this season. Reckon Leverkusen will beat them.

As Schalke are going to be in the 2. Bundesliga for the foreseeable, my Bundesliga interest has waived quite a bit lately which is a shame because it must be brilliant to watch this Leverkusen team right now.

Wouldn't be my first choice to end Bayern's dominance at all but certainly could be worse and when you look at their pretty tragic history when it comes to title run ins and cup finals, they do deserve a bit of success. Good on them.

The summer will be interesting, if they can hold onto their key players, it will be good to see how they get on in the Champions League under Alonso.

Don't want to see a typical dismantling of a team that dared to challenge the status quo.

Aye, it would be good to see this crop stick together especially if Alonso is sticking around. My guess is that Bayern will come knocking for some of their players however Leverkusen are a very well run club and financially pretty sound so they won't be looking to sell.

Fingers crossed, its horrible sportsmanship when that happens. Didn't like that Hummels, Gotze and Lewandowski went to Bayern. Complete slap in the face for the fans that backed them for so long.

Happened quite a lot in Italy with Napoli lately. They get close to greatness, then all their star players get picked up elsewhere and they have to start the process again. That said they didn't really lose anyone key from their title winning side apart from Kim Min Jae in summer and they've been awful this season!

Leverkusen fully deserve to win the league this season. They have been amazing to watch and football has been beautiful. It will be interesting to see how many players may leave them in the summer. Frimpong and Grimaldo have been different class at wing back this season

Off topic a bit but good to see Fortuna Dusseldorf up to second tier. Die Toten Hosen's team who sponsored them for a while. Good community club though most German clubs are. The Exploited to sponsor a Hearts shirt?

In my opinion, there is a very good chance that this could happen.

Kane, Foden, Bellingham etc. etc.

They have a great squad.

42 games unbeaten in all comps now & on course for a treble with that win last night coupled with the favourites Liverpool taking an absolute pounding at home

West ham defended well for most of the game but yet again Leverkusen score late on.

Well they're well on track for that. Leverkusen win the league this weekend, they got knocked out the DFB Pokal by a 3rd division team and Arsenal will run them close next week.

Just need their usual face plant at the finishing line in the Euros and all is good
