tian447
First sober Hogmanay / New Years morning for many a year, and I can't get to sleep now! Debating just giving up and not bothering trying and having a lunchtime nap instead. There's something to be said for drinking 10+ pints and passing out! Home in time to pick wife up from work then pick daughter up from her work at the Gyle (wife bribed me with beer). 125cc bikes must be bigger than when I had 1 32 years ago. Which clowns set up something where your incompetence loses sales? Likewise Didn't even scan our tickets on entry, the queues for the bar were horrendous, to the point I didn't bother getting a drink, and 8 toilets or something, farcical set up. Gig was excellent tho

I tried to inform one but their English was that poor I gave up.

Yeah surprised at the lack of marshalls outside directing people to the right locations or any sort of system, fine for me but as you say tourists not knowing which queues to join etc - All seemed a bit amatuer, but good night despite it

The snobbery against 125 owners is unreal, everyone has got to learn on something. I remember when i had mine, I heard some random guy telling his mrs that it's not a bike, it's just a toy, knob head.

I loved it, it was derestricted before I bought it, race reeds fitted. That wee thing could fairly shift.

I should have paid attention to the salesman saying it was "no thrills" to be fair, but i still loved it. I used to drive around in snow and all sorts, £5 petrol a week. Bought it brand new for 2 grand. Edited January 1 by Greedy Jambo

As soon as inwas on a bike, what little bit of sense I have switched off as soon as I started the engine. How I never ended up with serious injuries i don't know. I'm sure my arse was on the road almost as much as the tyres were.
