At the risk of sounding like a left wing snowflake here....there's a time and a place mate🤦

Looks really bad and can surely only have been a gas explosion. You pray no one was inside because have to assume nobody survives that. Few mates who heard it from a long way off. Awful.

Maybe the mods should change the title of the thread to reflect your more than justified anxiety.

Stay strong.

Holy crap, that must have been one hell of an explosion. Good to hear the occupants got out ok. Quite remarkable considering the wreckage in those photos.

Thought this was a euphemism for premature ejaculation.

Less than 100m from my door. I thought my roof had come in before knowing what had happened. Utter chaos, but the couple are off to hospital.

The house has been razed to the ground, crazy seeing something like that.

Hive of activity now with the fire service.

I can confirm that Babertonjambo is alive and well.

Seriously though, unbelievable that the couple survived the house blowing up round about them.

I hope they are ok and insured. Was one in Larbert a couple of years ago that killed a man, turned out the new smart meter was not fitted correctly 😳

How could anyone in the house get out of THAT unharmed?

It’s weird what’s ‘survivable’ and what’s not.  Two-thirds of the people on this walked (or rather ran ) away …

I'm not sure yet but it's unlikely.

RIP to the unfortunate gentleman and condolences to his family.

Gas explosions are extremely destructive to the structure where the leak happens but due to the nature of exploding natural gas, are luckily usually contained to just that structure.

In terms of explosions, natural gas is a slow explosion so it's more of a pushing force, albeit one with a lot of pushing power.

That's why the originating structure is usually totally demolished but also why debris doesn't usually travel very far.

“Getting off at Haymarket” was the Catholic contraceptive method.

Sad to hear that the guy died. Happy for the mods to remove the light hearted stuff if anyone feels it is inappropriate.

Just like your turn of phrase about having an ear close to the ground when discissing a man  who had been dragged a mile up the road by a lorry then?

You really have managed to upset a wee clique on here. Wouldn't give them a second thought though, they're not worth it.
