Hartson just informed us that with sixty minutes played, that is nearly an hour gone.

His input is invaluable

And, at 55 minutes, he observed that “Feyenoord are really dangerous on the break”.

And there we have it, a Celtic player tugging at an opponent is “showing good strength” (Hartson, again). Talk about double standards!

the guys a few sandwiches short.  I mute the sound when that bellend is on

Hartson must have had lens replacement surgery and had green ones put in.

Celtic player could break someone in two off the ball, and he would put a positive spin on it.

It’s all nicely set up for a Feyenoord win and Hartson having a full breakdown on live TV.

And it begins. 1-1 and Hartson seems to have lost the power of speech.

That defender no. 29 just letting the Celtic guy dance around him before sloping off and letting him chip in the assist...

That Celtic pitch starting to look a bit of a mess. I fear it might ruin our silky football on Saturday. 🙄🫢

Between that and the forecast wind we may actually have a chance!!

Malinga the Swinga

Worst performance from English teams for a while with two of them finishing bottom of groups.

Celtic win but it gets them nothing as still bottom of group.

Doesn’t look like 5 English teams will be in the CL next season, a wee shame.

That’s two teams from the best league in the world finished bottom of their CL group. 😂

€2.8 million for the win.

And the coefficient points.

37th game in row without clean sheet too

You could set your watch by the tims finishing bottom of a euro group

Just the €43 million to Celtic for 2023/24 Champions League.

that’s disgusting.  Yet when they put 4,5 or 6 past teams in our league they expect competition ?

UEFA have confirmed the format for the season after next’s Champions League.

4 x 9 team groups based on coefficients at the end of ‘23/‘24.

Everyone plays other teams in the group once. 4X home. 4 X away.

Possibility that countries with 4 or more teams in the competition could have two teams in the same group.

One 36 team league table is produced at the end of qualifying dependent on results.

Teams ranked 1-8 go straight through to the last 16.

Teams ranked 9-24 play off to make up the other 8 teams in the last 16.

Teams ranked 25-36 are out of Europe. No Europa drop back.

The knockout stages will comprise what they are calling a ‘tennis format’ That is the whole knockout stages are mapped out in advance based on seedlings earned exclusively in the group stages.

So seeds 1 and 2 can not meet before the final. Or indeed any two teams in opposite halves of the draw.

No longer any protection for teams from the same country meeting in any knockout rounds.

The intention is to produce less dead rubbers in the group stages. As the higher seeding you earn, the easier your passage through the knockout stages should be.
