Armageddon
Back in February 2022 the charity was blocked from appointing her as CEO with a £150k salary. They then proposed £85K salary for 3 days per week, this was also rejected, then a final agreement of £60k and a rolling 3 month contract with her holding the role for a maximum of 9 months. An inquiry was set up back in March 2021 due to the financial going's on. The family trademarked 'Captain Tom' and a company called Club Nook Ltd made £809k profit from it in it's first year. The £38M raised by Captain Tom isn't involved in this, but everything under The Captain Tom Foundation is, that's £1.4M (net) Now she's been ordered to demolish the building built, with a swimming pool, under the guise of 'Captain Tom Foundation Building' in the grounds of her £1.2M home. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-66100178 Isn't this all a bit smelly. There was a huge rise in podcasts during covid and many have stuck with the format. Joe Wicks was another one who saw a major opportunity under the guise of helping people. pablo
Strange strange period all round thinking back on it now. Hard to believe some of the weird stuff that went on. The outdoors basically shut down for recreational use, was it on Thursday the clapping for carers happened? And this old boy walking round his garden to raise millions for the NHS. Not sure how history is going to judge what went on in those first lockdowns.

Jail though - not sure there is. To be blunt, the family set out to create a legacy charity for their Dad then then the novelty of the time/commitment required became a full time voluntary job she's grabbed the opportunity to make a job from it full time. Everything after that was morally bankrupt but logically smart business moves. If she hadn't have been egotistical and pushed for the Charity CEO role/stepped back from the daily charity activities then she'd probably got away with it.
