Hopefully the person we hired a few months ago to look at the players eating habits will help them prevent injuries.

Stevie Fulton had a diet of fish and chips 😂 He was great and was rarely injured.

Edit: and he liked a fag. 🚬

Players are a lot faster and stronger than 25 years ago.
Bacon rolls prematch and chicken nuggets afterwards are a world of difference to the professional teams that we played from Turkey and Italy, who had their own nutritionist checking everything. Two teams who strangely enough looked much quicker, stronger and fitter.

No, but it’s a good conspiracy theory.

Its a strange one.

I think it is being peddled by the same group of people. I think they all must be in a secret facebook group.

They all dont like Budge, the womens team and blame the sport scientist for our injuries.

How many injuries have been through impact rather than muscular or tendons?

A couple of games against Dundee United wiped out a few of our players. Craig Halkett‘s troubles started with a nasty challenge in the cup semi final against Hibs.

The number of games, and frequency of them, has not helped any players from any clubs in recent years. Not even a decent length of close season. Us playing friendlies at the beginning of July was unheard of not that long ago. Pre season training maybe, but not actual matches, albeit without the competitive edge to them. Last season only ended at the end of May.

apologies if I came across as gruff. Rereading my comment the humour I meant wasn't apparent 🙂

The Almond milk drinking vegan soy boys of Forrest Green Rovers would come out better off in a challenge with any of our players.

United being relegated will help. Less break is definitely part of the problem, they admitted to rushing Halkett back twice last season. Can’t make that mistake again.

Good chance for Stone to cement his place in the team.

Up against a brick wall if Zander is fit.

But paving the way to a bright future, even if there is nothing concrete as yet.
