The Famous have had some brilliant keepers over the years.

I can only really think of the tail end of the Romanov years as being a time when we didn't have a truly superb goalie (no disrespect to Steve Banks or Jamie Mac who were both pretty damned good)

I'll raise you 2016-2020 (Jon McLaughlin aside, he was top, top quality)

Perhaps he'll tempt David "I'll cover the near post" Marshall out of retirement?

I've never rated Marshall, he only played the Euros because of his penalty save in Serbia but Gordon was far superior to him. He wasn't even playing first team football at club level at the time either. Look at the goals he conceded on Monday, the first and 3rd were down to his mistakes. Hibs probably think they have the best keeper going due to some of the absolute huddys they have had over the years but it's nice to see yet another keeper fold like a pack of cards at Tynie.

Did he not tell us, his family needed to go south and then not long after, he ends up at Ibrox.

Can't remember what his reasons for leaving us, however I don't blame him on wanting to not live in Sunderland any longer.

McLaughlin got 8 on the bounce in Dec-Jan 2017/18 incl the 4-0 v Celtic & 2 home Derbys (0-0 draw in the league & 1-0 win in the cup). Gordon passed it in 2021 with 9 on the bounce starting in the Championship & continuing on through the league cup groups. Souttar & Smith would have been involved in both (Berra not involved in Gordon's one as he was dropped after the Brora/QotS shambles).

Scotland cap inbound IMO.

**** Angus Gunn, had the chance to join us when we were starting to build this team and wasn't interested. Zander has won cups with teams that in all reality shouldn't win cups and is in fantastic form. Best Scottish Goalkeeper right now.

He never will be a Craig Gordon but he’s done very well since coming in, one thing I do like more about him than Gordon is he’s aggression come for crosses. Probably Craig weakness! Few more clean sheets & his confidence will rise even more! Great double save tonight

He's also good with the ball at his feet.

Owe the three points to him. Superb reflexes, reminds me of Gordon's saves against Sparta Prague.

Liked how he was constantly talking the defence, especially Hill through the first half. Guy is a class act and we are fortunate to have him.

He's tonight's unsung hero!

That double save was incredible 👏

Certainly wasn't unsung in the roseburn. Standing ovation

Fantastic bit of business to get Zander to come to the club as an understudy to Craig.

He is a class keeper and solid as feck.

He's more than just a stand in.

He'll be scotlands No1 as well if the right decisions are made.

Steve Clarke and Chris Woods were there tonight…

Grew up with Craig legend. But big Zander plays is as good as anything else in the league.

Commands his box well and good shot stopping. Very impressed

3 games. 2 clean sheets...👀

But, he's a brilliant signing.

I mean, technically he does have 2 clean sheets in 2 games. It's just we've also played another one as well

Yeah I ****ed it.

Brilliant performance by Clark.

Double save really dug us out.

Similar, in fact even better to the ones v the Hubz.
