I thought that was quite amusing. The hubs players would have been better off scuttling away.

Nisbet did. Like a rat up Lochend drain pipe

You lot couldn't score in a brothel

First clean sheet in ages, and we had an injury struck defence, which then needed changed mid-game also, and you still couldn't muster the back wheels to put the ball in the net.

I guess we are just lucky though eh? Lucky and out-sung, or something like that.

Get it right round you, you absolute losers.

It's a game of football, chief, nothing more than that to me now. On to the next one at ER where we pump you out of the cup. 3-1 Hibs

John Findlay

Humphrys for the third. Gave the carthorse(Hanlon), and the cart(Stevenson), a couple of yards start, and still beat both to tuck it away with aplomb.

On a slightly serious note, I have been a critic of Michael Smith, he is slow and steady etc, his legs have gone...but today showed just how good he is, as soon as he went off that boy Youan kept getting in behind us and was their biggest threat. Though with all that space he was a bit like a cow with a banjo, he doesn't know how he got it and lord knows if he could ever figure out what to do with it

Yes. BUT - does my head in that they focus on the dugout (or somewhere else off the the field) for AGES while the game is actually in progress! What's that all about??

Agreed but someone suggested we piggy backed on BBC Alba for the pictures and they have a habit of doing this for some reason. Fortunately nothing of significance missed.

Agreed,it's only a game and nothing personal meant nor inferred. That said,I admire your optimism, however deluded it may be.

After watching that second half I’m praying we get the Paterson deal done, that experienced player who can slot into numerous positions would be a huge benefit.

Devlin had a big off day, seemed to put his team mates under unnecessary pressure with real slackness.

Great game for Zander 👏🏼

Atkinson hmmm

Snodgrass was great again and pulled us through IMO

His passing was definitely ropey today. Not like him.

However, forced a turnover on the edge of their box at the start - like Klopp says, no playmaker in the world is as effective as a good counterpress.

Forced the penalty with his only shot on goal.

Very nearly won a second penalty.

Won a couple of headers, broke up four attacks and cleared it a bunch of times.

He definitely put Hibs under more pressure than he did his teammates.

Thunder and Lightning

I think we should start the next game against them with 10. It's not fair how we rag doll them constantly.

Either that or play GMS, same thing.

That double act have been comical for years though, how many poundings has Stevenson been on the receiving end of? :D

They're like a boomerang. It doesn't matter who Hibs sign, they always end up going back to Hanlon and Stevenson :D

And given how often their dressing room morale collapses and the team stops playing for the manager - you have to ask what their role in it is. They must be the only common denominator in the whole series of recurring bin fires.

We were pretty poor in spells tbh, didn't really get out of 2nd gear compared to recent performances.

If we play anywhere near our best at Easter Road we will go through 100 %.

You lot look absolutely horrendous at the back and powder puff up front against 11 men .

Great result. Good first half. Awful second ... until the third goal.

Worth saying the Hearts TV PPV coverage was excellent. No lag and no buffering. Good commentary and decent HT and full time highlights and analysis.

Speaking objectively.  What is it with H1b5 obsession with Lewis Stevenson ? Seen faster full backs play Sunday league. If he ever had it, he doesn't have it now  .

They've actually had several managers over the last 10 years who have tried to replace him. It's just that every other left back they sign is fecking garbage so they have to go back to him

How depressing must it be to be a Hibby after Derby humping 289. Then to come on Kickback right afterwards and put yourself through it again.

That lot could play Harry Potter up front and not see a good spell.

It’s all been said about the contrast between both halves.  But it was 3-0.

It takes alot of ground work to get to that stage, it took alot to get to 2-0, never mind 3.

The human elements came out in our players defensive wise in the second half,  no tactics can substitute what great pieces of individual work Hearts players put in to preserve their well deserved lead in the game. That’s what I enjoy the most….when players do their best work without guidance.

Hibs can say they put up a better fight in the second half but we’ve all been there.  We’ve been in those moments your team hasn’t been good enough and trailed, only then to wake up a little when it’s too late.

They’ll make alot of it but they couldn’t make the running when it counted….we did.

It started from college football (USA) by Justin Jefferson i believe and he and Ja'marr Chase do it regularly in the NFL. It is also an emote (a dance) on Fortnite.

Got to feel for Cammy, finally hits a decent shot on target, the odds of Bushiri getting any sort of block, legal or otherwise, were tiny.

I'm so proud of the boys. That is what you want as a team. So many good points. But those spoon burning pricks should never be allowed near Tynecastle again. I counted 5 times the hobo fans threw stuff at our players. Luckily the SFA highlights caught 2 of them. One when Shankland took penalty. Just missed him and when he celebrates something was thrown again. So it's both captured. Check the below highlights.  They should be heavily fined for that. Any way. FTH. We own them yet again. The toons maroon.

Fantastic result. Thought Sibbick, Rowles Cochrane & Clark were immense today. A clean sheet well deserved. Snodgrass ran the show, that pass from Grant for the 3rd. Something some of our other midfield players don't have in their locker. Hope he gets time, there's a player there. McKay good, Ginelly & Shankland too.

Devlin improved after a shocking first half. Atkinson really needs to be replaced tbh. Harsh, I know he was on the left but, Hibs targeted him as soon as he came on. For me Sibbick was MOM. That tackle!! I hope Neilson doesn't drop him to shoe-horn others in. Toby was outstanding.

Agree about Grant - the dummy before the pass was even better

Was discussing this with my son at the game. There were 3 decisions for var to consider. 1, was Sibbick offside and, although very close, he was so the goal couldn't stand. 2, was it hand ball that stopped the goal, yes it was so a penalty. 3, was it deliberate hand ball so a red card, obviously they decided it wasn't so just a yellow. Agree it took far too long but at least the right decision was reached

If you watch it again. Sibbick was actually pushed onto an offside position. Bashiri clearly pushes him. VAR also failed to see that. SFA love to cheat us at any cost.
