Interesting, perhaps not world class etc after all then? 😜

Ten Haag seems to have ruined him.

At the World Cup he was controlling matches the full length of the pitch.

Now a bit-part right back.

Looks broken.

Anyone could go to United and become a shadow of themselves.

Fully expect him to go and sign for a Juventus, or Inter Milan after this season and look the part.

Yep and I'd think more suited to Italy too.  The boy's a cracking player.

I took a look at the thread for you.

Absolutely nobody called him world class.

so what’s your point?

I actually think it possibly looks a bit of a commercial signing. As many of the signings have been at that club. Just about shirt sales and eyeballs in the different global markets and Amarabat was on the crest of a wave after World Cup fame. For example how Liverpool have become absolutely massive in the Middle East because of Salah. The difference is Salah was a football signing first & foremost. His commercials was secondary. Which tells you exactly where Liverpool went right in recent years, and it also tells us exactly where Man U have gone wrong. Far too many commercial signings who were not football signings.

Struggling in a better league.

Wasn't an issue in the WC against Portugal, Spain or Belgium.

Or for that matter in the Conference League.

Might be that he was a bit of a one season wonder of course, but he looked far better than that.

We were in the conference league, really not a great level.
He had a good team and defensive structure for his national team.
There was no scramble for him last summer and his loan wont be extended at all.

Really?

Our results say otherwise, and West Ham, who are 6th in the EPL won it...

Roma won it the year prior, and Mourinho was ecstatic about it. If it wasn't that great a level he wouldn't have tried to win it.

To me, it appears he has just not settled at Old Trafford.

Beyond the groups it was a decent caliber. Once shite like us we're knocked out 😆

Not suited to united, then again who is? They’re just a collection of players rather than a true team. He was thriving in Italy and will likely go back there and be class again

Yes really, we beat a team twice that were worse than us, and hammy 4 times of Turkish team that nobody had heard of and a mid table Fiorentina.
Jose knew it was likely to be the only chance to win a trophy and he has now won all the European titles, West Ham spent £300m to win that diddy cup and their fans still rightly hate Moyes.
We will still enjoy 6 games in the competition next season if we end up there.

He really didn't. It was a surprise Man United signed him.

As for Amrabat, good player but looks to be proving to be a one season wonder.

I don't think he'll be at Man Utd for much longer either. The sort of player that is never appreciated by the fans, look at Darren Fletcher in the past

Harsh on Fletcher who was a better football player than Amrabat is, he’s scored 4 goals in his whole career.

No he didn’t, just another English player beyond belief, not sure Chelsea fought that hard to keep him.

Don’t compare him to different styles of players then, who scored over 30 goals when he wasn’t exactly expected to do so either. Casemiro would be a better comparison, oh wait over 50 goals scored too.

I would compare him to Fletcher they are stoppers they are good at man marking winning the ball and passing it to the attacking players. You know that full well you're just being obtuse like everyone on this site these days

Now who’s being obtuse, Fletcher scored over 30 goals and Casemiro 50. Amrabat is a good player but shouldn’t be compared to guys who were far better footballers and more successful.
