Alex Kintner
😔 Grew up watching him bowl and then commentate. All roads lead to Gorgie
Very sad news. He was a real character from a time when cricket had a fair few of them. Some spin bowler as well!
willie wallace
Saw him play a couple of times live for Australia.Absolute class Saw a wee clip on YouTube recently where the Aussie fans were throwing bottles onto the pitch when England were batting. They called Warne out from the dressing room and he put a helmet on and walked over to that section. Immediately the crowd were laughing and bowing to him. A one off.Thats for sure. Mikey1874
He helped redevelop the game. You look at cricket now especially T20 with off spin dominant. There's a case to be made that Shane Warne inspired all that. When he emerged no one was bowling like him at top level.

Footballfirst
Disgraceful stuff from Celtic in reporting Shane's passing. Anything to promote a club sponsor. https://www.celticfc.com/news/2022/march/04/condolences-after-the-passing-of-australian-cricket-legend--shane-warne-/ The Celtic manager, who had spoken with Shane Warne, who was also a Dafabet ambassador, during the recent Ashes series held in Australia, said: “This is absolutely devastating news to lose Shane, particularly at such a relatively young age, and my heart goes out to his whole family.
