Gaby Logan “this will feel like a loss for France” 😳 aye so it will!

She's a dumpling. Typical sycophant.

Dusk_Till_Dawn

Hate the Wales so that was good to see last night.

Not sure about today. Almost feel like Italy are due one.

Never really convinced by Price.

This will be a win by very few points, either way

No me neither although he does have very good games. Bit slow at the breakdown I feel.

Just to go back to Wales, their style is honking

Or else they adapt to the circumstances? They are generally street wise. We ain't so much.

I agree with you that they made much more of last night’s game than we did against France but their entire game is Biggar kicking the ball. It’a shite

All roads lead to Gorgie

Scotland thought the game was over and have switched off. The aimless kicking is letting the Italians back into this. Get a grip Scotland.

Captain Sausage

Embarrassing. Surely the upcoming pumping in Dublin will be the last we see of Townsend.

Great try Italy but what a terrible last fifteen minutes from Scotland.

All roads lead to Gorgie

Hogg for all his quick feet and running is way short in passing ability at times, either throwing it blind or putting too much pace on the ball giving the catcher a hard time to control it. Hogg and Russell frustrate the hell out of me sometimes, some of their kicks are just aimlessly giving the opposition good attacking opportunities.

Strong refereeing and correct decision. Good finish from Kiwi in corner and England up against it. If only ref we had against France was as strong.

In our game, we made too many mistakes, but not as many as Italy. They are shocking.

England Red card in 2nd minute.

Not watching live but having seen the news can't believe what I've just seen. Such poor technique. Side angle shows no mitigation.

England rivival short-lived then 😁

Still setting new records though. Not just 6 nations. Quickest red in 140 years of tournament.

A bonus point win puts Ireland just 1 point behind France with superior points difference.

Grand slam winners get 3 bonus points so Ireland still need France to fail to win vs England.

Other than sending off, ref had penalised Ireland for everything and is allowing England to call shots.

Ireland's scrum is either shite or ref allowing England to pull scrum sideways.

What a chance for Ireland, doing a Scotland there.

Scoreline must be wrong. According to commentator, this was a classic. 4 tries to nil, BP win and Irish line never threatened.

Heroic England are shit.

When a team scores 4 tries to 0 then they deserve to win. England weren't good enough.......again.

The sending off gives them something  to cling to.  A what if? Their ferocity came from it which questions where it is at other times.

Ireland in truth should have scored at least 7 tries and weren't at their best.

But both of the above posts are right.

England were poor.  So were Ireland.

Whatever Ireland's prospects are in Dublin next weekend, France must surely win in Paris.

Just watched Ireland v England.

I think the excitement over England's performance is a little misplaced. Brave but basically nowhere good enough.

1. Rather than settle things down England responded to the red card by losing the plot. Harry Randall ignored 3 points to take a quick tap penalty but then lost the ball and Ireland scored 1st try.

2. England then fell apart losing basic discipline, messing up 1st scrum and failing to defend for the disallowed try (knock on). Very easy for Ireland.

3. England scrum did start to work well. And started to get stuck in. But pretty quickly they messed up a 5 yard scrum when Jamie George didn't realise the maul had stopped moving. Closest they came to scoring try whole game.

4. Refs need to sort out the wheeled scrum issue. England are at it. Line out penalties too when player is barely touched.

5. Superstar Marcus Smith again missed an easy penalty.

6. England couldn't stop Ireland's sharp attacks. The Irish were playing a different pace. England were woeful in defence at 2nd try. Flat footed, with usual concede penalty defending. Ireland just needed to be quick.

7. England attacked well from the restart but all they got was 3 points. No way passed the Irish rush defence. 9-15 half time. 0-2 tries.

8. Start of 2nd half was good. Ireland attacked well and England held on. Possibly their best spell of game. Still all about the forwards and kicking though. And Ireland knocked on 3 times close to line. England no where near scoring a try.

9. Well done England for getting to 15-15. No hint of scoring a try though. Scrum good. Attack non existent. Eddie Jones somehow doesn't bother with the backs.

10. Ireland stayed pretty composed and their quality shone last 20 minutes. England couldn't get anywhere near the Ireland try line. Marcus Smith in good position kicked the ball away. The Eddie Jones way.

11. To type England on 22 lost their own line out. The 2nd closest they got to scoring try.

12. England again kicked ball away to start move when Ireland missed final pass for try.

13. Kick, kick, kick. 3 points behind 10 minutes to go. Ireland made the man advantage count with 2 tries. Something England didn't get near them.

14. So actually credit to England. But the structure of their game is way behind Ireland and France.

15. England 15 Ireland 32. England 0 tries Ireland 4. Biggest ever win at Twickers.

16 Heroic though.

I've only watched the highlights but from your analysis England seemed to lack discipline and composure.

Who is their coach again?

A WUM of sorts I recall.

The same coach who’s pre match press conference concentrated on how Ireland hadn’t met a set of forwards as physical as England yet and would struggle with the aggression and physicality. Guess he got them a bit too wound up before kick off.
