neilnunb
Hardly seem to buy new releases these days I loved the Bicep, Low and Saint Etienne albums. The biggest disappointment for me was probably the Damon Albarn album. Love his stuff normally but found the latest album hard to get through. I usually feel the same but I think this year I've actually been pretty on the ball with modern music. Although I haven't heard of a single one of these tracks or albums in this thread. Ha to be fair, I am in a job where at home or office I can listen to music all day and have 6 music on most days. Was trying to avoid listening to the same old stuff but my end of year stats still topped by the same old bands! Superstate btw is a solo project of Graham Coxon of Blur

The Low album is fantastic, even surpassed Double Negative for me which was a great album. Saint Etienne was a departure for them but was really good. Not listened to Damon Albarn album yet, will give it a whirl.

I avoid almost all radio stations bar 6Music and Vic Galloway on Radio Scotland and none of the stuff I like would trouble the charts these days
