I’ve not even had the e mail from Hearts but as I can’t watch match tomorrow (in London from mid-day on a Stag including ‘axe throwing’ in Vauxhall!!), I’m going to leave it until i need to set up for the Celtic match. However what I will not do under any circumstances is create a new e mail account!! Difficult to work out if this new code to be input applies solely to today's game against Sunderland or if once input the system will save and store it and that for any other games this season it will revert to just signing in using a logonid and password (trying to remember what information I had to put in way back when the HeartsPass started (think it was a game versus Partick Thistle) and if there was a code the system retianed for the full period of the season not long finished). As an aside are Stirling Albion one of the teams we should be ignoring or does the fact that for the stream they are providing the money generated is split between both clubs mean it is OK to purchase the ppv stream for that game later this week ? This year the original instruction to people with an existing Hearts TV account was to skip the registration step and just log into your Hearts TV account and submit the code via the Account Settings bar. This simply rejected the submission with a message saying I already had a Hearts TV account or words to that effect The instructions were then changed presumably following my and others messages to the help link) without notice or explanation to say that Hearts TV subscribers did after all have to register with the vague and unhelpful advice to use "different details". This means using a different email account (as advised to me in a further exchange with the helplink) and I think from trial and error also different user name and password from those used for your existing Hearts TV account. Otherwise I was told I would lose access to Hearts TV content other than the streaming service (including presumably audio coverage of non-streamed games). Good that this is being trialled for the pre-season friendly but there should surely have been a smaller scale trial of the system before it was implemented live with supporters. I’m always a little bit suspicious of people that have more than one e mail address, makes me wonder if they are involved in illegal activities or have something to hide 😉 I’ve also only got one postal address, imagine if the club said you had to get another postal address to receive tickets …. Techy types laugh when I quote it because it is one of the original domains or whatever you call them, now rarely used but it meets all my needs or did until yesterday. This was their reply: Unfortunately, you cannot overwrite the current Hearts TV account as this is a different package from the season ticket. The latter is hopefully only a temporary login until everyone is back in the stadium. You may have to register a temporary email address for the duration of the season ticket account.
