He’s a dinosaur and all about himself look good by his teams winning, he’s not interested in developing youngster as football players, any talented ball players at the club can forget it as hell want strong runners who can tackle. All I will say is that it is obvious something needs to change at that level as we give chances to too many players whose future destination is League 1 or 2 such as Lewis Moore. Robertson was stuck in behind Teirney as Was Hickey off sorts- no clear path to the first team. Celtic are good with youth imo but they generally get the pick of the best and only a few make it, lots more released who are good and improve. Gav M Posted June 22, 2021 Share Posted June 22, 2021 my lad plays for partick 2011s (so he's 9, but this is just an observation of the celtic win at all costs mentality) they played Celtic last weekend, most of the time Celtic were leaving 2 players in an "offside" position looking for a quick turn over to get it up quickly. they don't start playing offside till next season, but you'd think, for player development reasons, they would be looking to get them used to how football is actually played rather than looking for the quick goal. it was teaching the kids nothing, and the most frustrating part was that they had some really good wee players. the Partick coaches at least try to get the kids to play some semblance of offside to prepare them going forward. just an observation Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
