I enjoy watching the darts but still find the concept of a dartist having injury problems funny.

Arthritis fecked my darts career. I couldn't haud my pint longer than 3 legs by the end.

Is he still struggling with his knee? As somebody else has said I can see him packing it all in soon.

Didn't see his match today so not entirely sure tbh. If it's not the knee, it's the shoulder or back so basically walking wounded. Almost as painful watching him at times. 😁

That was exquisite! The 3rd dart was stunning after he moved and reset before throwing.

It was a great match - would like to see Waites find form and rise up the rankings.

Smith was all over the place.

Fair play to Lowe - sounded like a decent bloke in his interview.

Smith is hopeless. It saves himself from shitting his breeks in the latter stages. 🤣

Ally Pally debut and 2 wins under his belt.

He does come across as a decent bloke - still works full time to make a living. Hope he can get past Petersen next round.

Gary Anderson is now a cert for the final. If he can turn up.

One of the best things about Christmas and new year is the darts. Pity there’s no fans there but it will still be a great tournament.

I’d rather watch darts than any football match that Hearts / Scotland aren’t playing in.

Miss the darts on Christmas Eve.

I'm the same I tend to switch off from the football when the darts are on at the same time

Michael Smith is one of the most overrated darts player on the tour.

Huybrects v Searle is a bit scrappy

I keep thinking Huybrechts is Brendan Dolan

Poor first set but once Dancing Dimitri got going there he was on fire

Wright's finishing awful just now. 1-2 down...

Finds his form when he needs it. Comes from 0-2 in that set to win 3-2.

2 sets each.

MvG is just relentless

He's going to take some stopping if he continues this standard

TV director needs replacing

He's all over the place with the cameras and ends up missing the winning double

Going to end up 4 zip to MvG but that doesn't reflect how well Evans has played

Stuck a wee £10 on Van Den Bergh @9s upon Wrights departure but you just can’t see past Van Gerwen

Van Gerwen is too full of himself for my liking, especially given no crowd there.

I could never work out why the cameramen and directors were so good at guessing the next shot then discovered they have ex pro players watching the game and on headsets advising where the next shot is likely to go. The programme I watched had Keith Deller doing it.

Mervyn King destroying de Sousa here

Helps when your opponent has 84 and goes 16, 18 then for Double Top !

Haha yes but he was already 3 sets down at that point tbf. 😁

King has been in good form lately, was unlucky to lose to MvG in that last tournament.

Aspinall is getting his arse handed to him here. Lost the first set in about four minutes.

Fought back to 2-2. And he’s looking like he should win it now. Quite a turnaround.

Big win for van der Voort

Thought Aspinall before the match

Well I got that wrong. A combination of his losing momentum again and Van der Voort finding it again.

Suljovic will be a tough one tonight simply because he will totally slow down the play to disrupt Anderson.

He does seem to struggle against him. Playing against players like him used to make me want to quit darts. Dart in a 15 then treble 20, treble 18. I'd be like, feck this shit.

Personally I think Suljovic is a bit of a cheat. Slows down play, staggers when he does a wayward throw etc. All to put off the opponent. Hope Anderson smashes him but as you say, can struggle against him, especially if he lets it get to his head.
