Not been following the darts for a while, is Snakebite likely to defend at 6/1? Thinking of a double with Hearts at 10/1.

Posted

Wright's been a bit hit and miss lately. MvG has been coming back into a bit of form.

Think I'll go for Price to win it although he has a really tough draw but van den Bergh to be my outsider.

Haha yeah, can't stand watching Durrant at the best of times.

Thankfully watching the football (Reading v Norwich).

Posted

Yeah I can't be bothered with the boring Durrant either.

Duzza grinds his opponents down

Bit like watching his beloved Boro - brutal

Maroon Sailor

Ha ha Duzza leaves his darts in the board as he walks off after taking the 2nd set. Portela can't touch them and can't throw practice darts where he wants !

Given the difference in class of the players, thats, er classless.

I had switched over by then but if he meant it he’s been a dick.

I don't think he meant it - just angry with himself for playing so bad

Still shouldn't have done it and I think in his post match interview he more or less said he was being a dick

From Duzza's twitter

Thank you @brazilliant180 for the match last night.

I’ve no idea why I left my darts in board, that point I was mentally all over the place and it’s left a sour taste in my mouth - I’m sorry no disrespect intentional

Pretty impressive from the young Japanese player Edward Foulkes

I think he might give Brendan Dolan a tough match

That's fair play to him. Looking forward to this tournament warming up. Just a pity nobody there to watch, the atmosphere is incredible at times. Hoping Peter Wright can retain it, he's got the game to do so but can't see past MvG.

The crowd play a massive part in Darts tournaments, especially this one.

Biggest upset so far

66 year old Paul Lim knocking out Luke Humphries.

Was 2 sets down as well

The Jocky Wlilson documentary was on TV again tonight.

1982 win remains one of the best things that has ever happened during my lifetime.

Match of the tournament so far

Waites 3-2 Campbell

Waites 0-2 down in last set and had to break the throw twice. Quality finishing as he looked down and out

Posted

Creepy Heta out. 😁

Man, the finishing from that pair in those last two legs 🤣

MvG v Murray now

Maroon Sailor

Well done Murray

1-1

Posted

Murray levels at 1-1

Nervy first set but he's settled in now.

Posted

Wayne Turdface creaming himself about MVG there...aye pal, well he lost the set 🤣

Posted

Cracking 124 finish from Murray there.

MVG 2-1 up but having to play well.

Posted

Drat. Had a chance for 2-2 there.

Did himself proud though.

3-1 MvG

Murray played well and gave him something to think about. He didn't do much wrong but MvG can take it out when he needs to

Posted

Petersen, who always looks like he's about to punch someone, and Lennon serving up a shocking first 2 sets before I switched over.

Thought he was going to explode, he was that pumped up 🤣

Don't like Cross personally. Smug face. 😀

When's Gary playing, Tomorrow? He needs to get his finger out, as he's slipping down the OoM, fast.

Think he’s nearly finished to be honest. He doesn’t want it enough after winning it twice (understandable) and gives up far too easily.

Hope he can do a swan song but can’t see it.

Snakebite got a much better chance. Mad as a brush but a rolls Royce of a throw.

I think he misses his mates on the circuit and the fact Phil retired has left him a bit bored anaw.

Not vintage Gary Anderson but he's through

Posted

Hope I'm wrong but will be tough for Anderson. Always seems to be injured these days which has affected his confidence. Even when he has a lead you half expect him to bottle it. ☹

Is he still struggling with his knee? As somebody else has said I can see him packing it all in soon.

I enjoy watching the darts but still find the concept of a dartist having injury problems funny.
