Malinga the Swinga Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Don't know how he missed his header in second half. Just off the pace so much. Quote
Paul Shark Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Not great tonight but Haliday, Lee, Freak, Robert all worse. Quote

The Establishment Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Does Neilson have to take some of the blame on that one?? 70 minutes on Wed night (where he scores!) and then gets the ferry back over Thursday lunchtime. We have a boy brimming with confidence in Wighton, have to trust him. Quote
vegas-voss Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Spends most of the time away from the box and when he is in the right place is ****ing garbage Quote

Fergie_Jambo Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Not good enough based on that half hearted performance Quote
cunny1874 Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 He's not interested get him to **** and take the rest with you son Embarrassing from the club players we've brought in look terrible no energy no speed just terrible...play naismith up front or get him away as well he's not good enough to play midfield and he's not got the legs really poor from neilson tonight as well is shape tactics and subs shocking Quote
cosanostra Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 He's rapidly running out of time. His finishing has completely fallen apart. He's not doing his job even in a lower league. Quote
BigStein Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Was poor tonight but think questioning his effort is unfair, was all over the pitch tonight trying to drag the team up the field whilst others strolled Quote

The Gorgie Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 When good strikers come to Hearts they suddenly because dross. Been happening for years, can't be a coincidence. Quote

Lambo85 Posted November 20, 2020 Author Posted November 20, 2020 He’s had at least 4 absolute sitters in the games I’ve watched plus a load of half chances that he’s not taken. I thought this guy could score goals especially in a “diddy” league like this? Is that not what we are paying him big money for?? Can’t believe I am saying that Wighton looks twice the player Boyce is. Quote
gordiegords Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 He is here to score goals, he is on a massive wage, he is missing sitters pretty much every game, he is failing badly. Quote

Lonewolflins Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Not a Hearts player , never will be . Look at the clubs he has played with , Ross County and Burton but some folk think he will be a legend . Utter shite and should be dropped . Quote

18Jambo_dave74 Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Needs to get a serious grip of himself. Hasn’t performed anywhere near well enough since joining us. The likes of Frear, Roberts, Wighton are average but I expect much more from guys like Boyce and Naismith. Quote
best in the land Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Needs sold and replaced with a goalscorer. Misses sitters every game. Quote
Chuck Berry Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 I'm prepared to give him a break given it's been a tough October/November period involving 6 Internationals in that time (2 play-offs), the last one 48 hours ago. No more Internationals now until the end of March so he now has a free run to clear his head and concentrate solely on Hearts. Quote

jimmy the jambo Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Interesting if the player who didn’t get involved with international duty trained for two weeks,I understand why Boyce & Smith didn’t play well, but no excuses for anyone else,Naismith should try and concentrate on being a player, captain and influence to his team,Instead of media specialist. Quote
brawlad74 Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Not convinced Boyce should have started after international duty and it showed. He seemed to take wrong option every time tonight. Problem is we have no striker replacement to play with Wighton Quote
Scottie Wanshot. Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 How many goals has Boyce scored since he came to Hearts, not counting penalty's. He just doesn't look like scoring, he missed sitters in every match. We were out fought tonight in every department. Quote

hearts00 Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 A lot of games and a lot of travel. But he is doing my head in. Slack, sloppy, have the ball away too much and quite frankly his finishing this season has been awful. If he was Wighton we’d be slaughtering him. Although I guess that’s what we’re doing on this thread. For the salary he needs to do much better. Same for Naismith. Quote
WoolfordsHearts Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 He's played 3 games in 5 days ffs and we've got the predictable thread on here slating him. He's a quality player. Never change kickback 🙄 Quote

wattie exploited Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 really think his first game when he scored against ranger s was a bit of a fluke and since then I really think he has been pretty poor for the money that he is meant to be on hope he will start to get a few goals in open play soon Quote

HMFC 86 Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Couldn’t miss with Ross county, but with us he just can’t hit the target. The amount of really good chances he has missed so far this season is incredible. Is it the Hearts effect? Good forwards seem to lose their ability when they come to us Quote
Debut 4 Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Said a couple of weeks ago he’s good outside the box but looks short in it. Snatches at shots or does the opposite and takes too long. He’s got this habit of always wanting to do a dummy shot or turn first instead of instinctively taking a shot. I do agree with others though that he’s being asked to do too much outside the area. But is this symptomatic of the game these days or simply how we lack in other areas? Midfielders who don’t run behind opponents, fullbacks who don’t get up the park, not much combination play between the midfield and wide players to let strikers get in the box more often....it’s pish.
