Victorian
The obvious ones like Aretha, Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart. Chaka Khan is one badly overlooked. Leona Lewis should get more credit. Going leftfield a bit I would add Bryan Ferry and Midge Ure.

Debut 4
My Dad was a crooner man. He was never really into the default following of Sinatra, Martin etc...though. His favourite was Eddie Fisher, and the more widely known Perry Como. He couldn’t stick Tom Jones 😂 Edited November 6, 2020 by Debut
martoon
Always felt McCartney was underrated as a vocalist. Golden Slumbers, Why Don't We Do It In The Road, Maybe I'm Amazed... for example. Karen Carpenter and Nat King Cole take the prizes though, for me.

GinRummy
Otis Redding is a great shout as is Sam Cooke and Nat King Cole. Female singers, I’d say Etta James or Patsy Clyne but Stevie Nicks has a great voice.

Pans Jambo
I'm not a fan of these at all but what a set of pipes these ladies have (shit music but voices like silk): Leona Lewis (Admit it, she can hold a tune and has a lovely voice) Whitney Annie Lennox (mentioned above) Personally, if they sound the same live as they do on recordings (without all that voice assist technology pish) then I think they are talented.
