HMFC01 Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 Indeed. I've not seen many games get blown for full time then get a penalty from var after. Probably the first. Was an intense match alright. Quote
Saint Jambo Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 Today shows the power of VAR. All penalties/ non-penalties and off side goals correctly called. Fernandes getting lots of credit for the penalty. Also a great pass to Rashford for their second. But he seems to be pretty terrible with any defensive duties. He is at fault for both Brighton goals. gashauskis9 Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 Lampard getting his arse handed to him. ****ing superb. Quote
Mikey1874 Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 That bet on Lanpard getting sacked... Quote
Dusk_Till_Dawn Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 Lampard and Solskjaer - utter frauds. Quote
Tazio Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 I’ve got a nice 12/1 bet on all the EPL teams scoring in today’s matches. I though West Brom would be the ones to blow it, not Chelsea.. Quote
Jeff Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 Lampard has spent 220million and he still chooses Alonso, Christensen and Abraham. He should be scrutinized Quote

They are turning into arsenal at the end of wengers reign. can be good going forward but are weak at the back Quote

TyphoonJambo Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Absolutely killing the game Surely the refs know enough about the game to apply a degree of common sense. Quote

It goes to show how out of touch the authorities are with actually playing football. Are we expecting to see corners with a dozen players all jumping up in the air with their hands held by their sides? Quote

Lord Beni of Gorgie Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Great performance from Leeds today. Some good goalkeeping, the ability to pass and move even in tightest of corners will serve them well. Something Scottish teams are afraid to do, really no excuse when no spectators are in not to Quote

Dusk_Till_Dawn Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Guardiola is a ridiculously good coach but it feels as if he’s lost the plot at City. Complicating his thinking, not even remotely getting basics right. That’s a shocking result today Quote

He’s doing a pretty average job. His team haven’t been able to defend for about 18 months now. He constantly makes a mess of the Champions League and nothing about City’s recruitment says ‘European domination”. I like Ake but £40m? That’s absolutely top whack for him. Guardiola’s lost David Silva and Aguero won’t be far behind. Be surprised if he wins the league or the Champions League before he leaves, which will be at the end of this season at the latest. A shame because he built a machine of a team there but it’s been poorly, poorly managed and maintained for a while. Quote

CJGJ Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 You can see why City are about to splash out £50 million or so on a centre back today/tomorrow https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-city-dias-transfer-latest-19005982 You have to hand it to Vardy who seems to be like a fine wine and Leicester have made a good start to the season as well It's early and too soon to write teams off especially City with their track record and to be fair a real injury crisis at present Everton, Leicester and Arsenal all started well though with hope for their fans Of course on a personal level I hope Liverpool maintain their form and win the English league once more....it will be interesting tomorrow night when Arsenal come calling Quote
