Normal time was end to end and chances galore.

Extra time is always pish. The game becomes "must not lose" rather than "want to win".

It certainly is , Boring mundane garbage !

Seems Chelsea don't trust their reserve keeper this time. Hope Mendy misses 😁

Rudiger leaving Chelsea for free must hurt as he has been excellent.

Diaz player of match despite missing several chances and failing to hit target with numerous shots.

Both teams frightened to lose instead of trying to win.

Be funny if Ross Barkley misses after being brought on to take penalty

At least Chelsea keeper got to stay on this time.

Liverpool have had to take off a couple of players you'd be confident of scoring

Mane taking it against his national keeper must have been nervous.

Mount bottles it.

Serves Chelsea right for not going for it in extra time.

Mendy's prancing about was the highlight tbf 🤣

Liverpool wins on pens just like in 2006...hopefully an omen for us

This "getting the cup in the stands" pish really fecks me off.

Get it on the centre circle ya dicks.

1-0 Tottenham VAR hand ball penalty from Kane. Half time.

Certainly a comedown from Thursday versus a determined Burnley seeking to avoid relegation.

On another day they'd have been 2 or 3 up.

It might just be one of those games.

City still big favourites if they lose. Liverpool are going to need to rattle in goals in their last two games. Assuming City won their last of course.

It would take a 6 goal swing assuming this game stays as it is.

It's not impossible.

Wow. Didn't expect this. They're both at home against average opposition on the last day. Could get a scenario where they're just trying to outscore each other to win it on goal difference.

Defo not impossible but they need a big win in midweek. The plus is Southampton aren't in great form.

City will still get something here

This is an email from a reader on the Guardian's MBM page:

“While City’s big win at Wolves has made it less likely,” says Nick Sims, “there’s still a chance of an amazing end to the season if West Ham win today. If City lose 2-0, and Liverpool put five past Southampton on Tuesday, they’ll go into the last game dead even on points, goal difference and goals scored. If they also get the same result as each other next weekend, then because of the meetings between them both finishing 2-2, the title will be decided by a playoff. As a United fan, there would be no good outcome, but what a game it would be, and a fitting end for two great teams.”

:wow:

Guaranteed Man City score.   Maybe 3-1, 4-2.   Or just a draw.   I think they're on the wind up ☺

This result if West Ham win final game puts Man Utd in Conference League.

Haha. Forget it. City are gonna win this 5-2 or something 😄

You're going to get at least one big team in each group. What a draw that would be.

Has to give this surely.

Clear penalty.

Not like the usual 'not a clear and obvious mistake'.

West Ham qualify for Europe.

Very well done.

Overall a decent result for Man City given the start they made.
