You can talk about the gulf in finance etc…blah blah blah but there’s no excuse for some of the inaccurate, slack play from non-OF teams through there. 3, 4 times I saw Aberdeen have time on the ball 10, 15 yards outside their box after clearing, only to play underhit or the wrong type of pass up to their strikers on half way, often 2 on 2. Not saying they’d go on to score but you should be dealing with that and being able to build an attack. Every team is the same. Funnily, I thought we did that well on our first visit last season as I remember a good 20 min spell of being on top in the 2nd half. Not so much in the 2nd game there though. And that’s when you compare them against us, a club that’s financially sound. Imagine how much bigger that gap becomes when you start comparing them to Ross County, St Mirren and St Johnstone etc… People who think the key to beating them is just having a go at them and putting them on the back foot are dreaming, unfortunately. Then they played Ross County and someone claimed the difference in budget was 16x bigger for Celtic but no mention of that just how good Celtic were in blowing them away. Aberdeen then withdrew from the league for a couple of seasons due to being unable to afford to compete and on the basis they would reenter the league in the top flight, which was expanded to accommodate them, Raith and Dundee, who had also withdrawn? There wasn't a division to be relegated to during WW1. Division two was scrapped, was just one big league. It wasn't reinstated until 1921.
