SomethingAboutObua
Is that crowd essentially a home game for Rangers? jbee647
Teams are beaten purely on the old firms reputation, they have done this to every team in Scotland for over a 100 years, teams know what’s coming and 9/10 can’t hold there nerve its not about having a go or parking the bus against the old firm, on most occasions it’s about holding your nerve. let’s face the facts, even garbage old firm sides have done this in Scotland forever Edited July 30, 2022 by jbee647

BackOfTheNet
The thing about ‘having a go’ is that isn’t Livi’s game. They’re more suited to sitting deep and defending and counter attacking. So when they have to choose tactics against the OF, their team is more used to and suited how they played today. We, however, are not suited to playing a defensive sit in game. We’re used to attacking teams and going for points. That’s why when it comes to us it makes more sense to just ‘have a go’ against the OF. As we’d be playing a style the players are more used to. Whereas if we play defensively we’re playing a way we don’t play 9 games out of 11, so already making things difficult for ourselves. But why play your own game and make it exciting when you could sit in all game, bite your fans to tears and still get nothing out of the game... 9 times out 10 (at least) those teams who sit in and hope to scrape something lost anyway. The extra money made can go towards making the side a wee bit better with extra investment. Then they could fill a bit more of the stadium with there fans. It's a no brainer in a league where money is quite tight. If the money generated doing this then allows them a bigger wage bill each season with the funds then having a few extra quid is going to get them a better option of player. Which then gives them a better chance of achieving there goals at the end of the season. Home clubs should be forced to make any empty seats nit sold available for away fans for live TV games anyway.
