How could they possibly not have foreseen things being as bad as they are? The predictions on when football is back and when we play in front of fans are either in line or better (time wise) than estimates at the time they took the decision to defer wages.

Surely they have accountants.

I was told that SirGay & Greenminger were unavailable as they were sailing on sirgays yacht.

No doubt rocking back and forward in a padded cell, occasionally mumbling barely coherent phrases...

”...cheaturz”

”...poppy thieves”

”...financial doping”

”...letters, we must write letters”

”...tick tock, tick tock, tick tock”

fades to silent as nurse administers sedative.

Oh dear. How they mocked us and Ann when she acted swiftly to take steps to manage our finances. Where’s the interlopers when you need them.

Deferred and cut. That'll sit well.

Hibs could only dream of having someone as switched on as Mrs Budge. She saw this happening from the start. Everyone said deferring wages was a bad idea. Let's not forget they still have to find the money to pay those deferred wages. They are in huge trouble make no mistake.

Just remembered that they gave away their shirt sponsorship as well for a cheap NHS feel good story.

Cut price deal for Kamberi for someone.

This cant be true. Isnt this the club that had £5.5 million cash in reserve only a short time ago. Surely .net will have the answer.

Would take Boyle if his knee holds up.

Maybe bit ugly for Hearts but we could make an exception.

And let's not forget all the knob journalists who slated Ann's wage cuts and cited Hibs as a model business!!!

Or if by some master stroke Ann gets the start of the premier delayed then they really are in the shit.

Good point.

Couldn't think of someone they could sell but Boyle could get £300k.

Is it possible that after Sergey’s failed ten year plot to bring down Hearts, that he switched his attention towards an easier target? He’s doing a good job, if so.

Don't be silly. This is and I quote: " It's just essential, sensible financial planning."  Volt boy. ( Hibs.net )

I wonder why the players union is not headline news with their demands.

A smidgen over what they lost by voting to end the season. Phew, eh?

A club who’s fans had considerably more to say about our wage cuts on their forum than their own wage cuts. Who happily damaged themselves financially because it would damage us more. Weirdos.

We've always known it's the hibs way. The only club  I have ever known who'd rather see their arch rivals lose over themselves winning. They've spent so much time rejoicing in our problems, they have not even realised how absolutely dire their situation is. Do they not know that they need us in the top flight to sustain their finances.  Apart from Rangers and Celtic who else is going to generate income at ER.

I hope their death is a slow and painful one.

They make the same mistake time and time again. Too busy worrying about Hearts to save themselves. It’s like the relegation derby season all over again.

Hopefully he doesn’t agree to wage cut and sits tight

Can’t see him being first to put his hand up to a wage cut

No way he will take a cut - leaving hibs to cut him loose/pay him off = lose more ££ in compo (unless he has a clause to release) and no transfer free

Some clown on .net is going to push the boat out and buy extra half time draw tickets. Aye that'll save them.

I'm actually glad WM pulled out of that takeover bid. Wouldn't want that liability of a club on our hands. Also we wouldn't have so much fun with them years later.

Yep, unlikely any of our big earners will move except Smith. Challenge is how to lose both keepers on the cheap so that Gordon comes in.

Im not even sure if he will to be honest, there will be loads of players at his level going around. We can only hope some will not fancy playing down there if we are indeed to play in that league.

Chortle.

Extermination is the correct way to get rid of a vermin issue.

Posted

Presumably the wages deferred so far and up until an agreement is reached, will still be due at the full pre reduction level?

Posted

Its starting to dawn on a few and the rest will soon wise up.

Killie and Motherwell are already bringing in players and they are only talking about wage cuts now. Boyle out of contract at the end of the season and Marciano aswell.

If only they had an additional 150k to keep Boyle

Them and Aberdeen etc will be in real bother this season and scrape through. Next year they will just be recovering but wont be back fully.

Meanwhile we hopefully have a big payday coming up and FOH donations on top of a fanbase that proves time and time again that we will step up.

They may be laughing now but we will previal in the end we usually do its the natural order of things.

It doesn’t mention what will happen if players refuse to take a cut. Back to training in the 22nd and off furlough from then, 11 days after they could’ve.

Funny how on a day our relegation was confirmed they still manage to trump us on the bad news story.

What makes you so sure they aren’t in any financial trouble? I think it looks the complete opposite, personally.

Their owner is a billionaire apparently. All the recent cuts are to save him cash. These billionaire types don't become that rich for no reason they get there because they are horrible nasty *****. He has money to save his business but looks like he is happy to stiff the normal employees. Just my opinion of course.

They do have accountants but they work on the basis of their own Hibernomics..............

When do they have to cough up the deferred wages? Did they set a date?

Don't you get the feeling that they put this story out on this day as it is pretty much covered up by the other bigger news story of the SPFL failed reconstruction and impending Hearts court battle?

Most certainly. They tried to be as sneaky as they could about it but it hasn't worked.

Hibs are ****ing skint.
